So I get to make like 12 varieties of cookies! Double chocolate mint cookies, chocolate chip cookies (with holiday morsels), kalachy cookies, peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, Andes cookies, candy cane cookies, chocolate peanut florentines, and a few others. I'm also making basic chocolate chip cookies (I think), and peanut butter rice krispie treats (with cocoa rice krispies) as well as chocolate cheesecake brownies and homemade fudge.

Does anyone else around here participate in holiday baking or have a family tradition of doing so? It seems like I have a really odd family (or just mother) since we always make tons of goodies for the holiday season.

Summary:
-I make lots of cookies/goodies for xmas/new year's
-Does anyone else?

I usually do a white chocolate/milk chocolate cheescake swirl... it looks really neat when it's done. I also make a pumpkin chiffon pie that's to die for. (Yeah, I know, Thanksgiving is over)

My mom just made her christmas cookies, however, pseudo-botched the dough recipe, and now they are as fragile as 1337 fux.

Still good, just fragile.

I usually make a steak marinated in honey wine... slow cooked with different spices.

Once it's ready drink it with an old porto. Delicious... aside from that... Human liver! You can replaced the porto with black and gold original sake straight from kyoto. Really depends on the mood...

Oooh, I got 2 cookie books recently... I'll check if there's a shortbread recipe!

Holidays aren't an excuse to bake... They're an excuse to bake a lot. I usually have a baking project a week or slightly more often. It depends on how quickly the flatmates eat the goodies.

I eat everything bare. What asshole decided to put marshmellows in good cereal...

And why do people put nuts in everything?! I love Brownies and Banana Bread, but i hate nuts in them, they taste terrible and totally ruin the texture in everyway.

The cookies are called "chocolate dreams" and I've never made them before. It looks like your basic vanilla/sugar/egg/flour dough with semisweet chocolate in the middle.

Better description?

I can't bake if my life depended on it. Wife bakes, her sister bakes and her mother owns a bakery-- I suspect the house will be filled with cakes, pies and cookies this Christmas.
