I was wondering if PS wil have something like the /hitsmode EQ has, where you can customize how much damage info you see on your screen so that stuff doesn't get lost in battle spam??

Also can you use an item designated as pistol-sized (REK, Medic tool) in a rifle slot??

If not can you change weapons/equipment in a slot without going to a terminal?

I hope they do a thing like in DAoC where they have the damage you do and receive on the top of a window, and chat and text on the bottom.

In the movies I've seen it is that way. I'm hoping it will allow you to customize the damade message wording and color.

This way you can make the damage message as long or short as you want and change the color to make it stand out more. This would also apply to Healing messages.

Not sure about the pistol-in-a-rifle-slot thing (probably, yes). If you look at the screen that show someone with an open inventory, you see the same little inventory lines in the rifle and pistol slots that you see in the inventory... so I'm guessing anything that can be 'used' and fits will be able to go into that slot.

So by that reasoning, a Reinforced armor could carry a REK, ARC, med tool (forgot the name), and a rifle. They'd better be packing some reloads though. Sounds like great equipment for a mid-level support character... mostly hanging back to heal and repair, occasionally coming forward when something needs hacking.

I'm almost certain you can carry additional weapons in your inventory... in fact, you have to. Each grenade is considered a weapon that must be equiped to be thrown, and I've seen screenshots where a gren was in the inventory.

I also remember someone saying that if you carried too many other weapons, you wouldn't be able to carry enough ammo to be useful. They must have been able to switch, or there would have been no point in carrying those extra weapons.
