Just curious how many people here can play instruments? I play the clarinet myself. Any other clarinetists here?

Keyboard/Piano ..... prefer the keyboard because I can do full pieces with it whilst with the Piano I can obviously only do the Piano part of any song ..... although the keys on a piano feel much better.

Tuba

Tuba = Brass pwnage.

Tuba may be brass "pwnage" but the Sousaphone (http://www.music.vt.edu/musicdictionary/texts/images/sousaphone.jpg) (commonly mistaken as a tuba) is the king of brass.

I played the cello and upright bass when I was in elementary school/junior high. In 8th and 9th grade I played bass drum or quads (being the big kid). Then the teacher found out I read music and she asked me to play tuba/sousaphone. Now I only play the guitar (acoustic and electric) and the bass. I have an upright that I just bought, for those times when I'm feeling like some Reverend Horton Heat or some funky jazz.

Yeah, I play the Clarinet. *throws clari out window* flute and sax are much more fun IMO. I used to play guitar, I play paino a lot and am pretty good at it, uhh i have 3 saxs (1 sop and 2 alto) and I play the sax best. I'm working on snare drum...gah you get the point. EDIT: What I said after this could be perverted.

While we're on the subject of instruments, can anybody recommend a place (online) to get portable keyboards for the cheapest prices possible? As I'm sure everyone knows, prices vary dramatically (one keyboard I'm interested in lists at over 1000 at one site, around 800 at another) with these type of things.

The only requirement is that the site stocks the Yamaha PSR 2100 at a decent price and can deliver / be picked up in the UK. Thanks for any help if given - if not .... :(

I used to play drums/random percussion. I was planning on playing guitar, I'm thinking of switching to bass though. Just need to save up enough to buy one.

Meh, people say both. What's the problem with saying quads?

Rayder
2003-12-27, 01:03 AM
Because it's wrong. They aren't "quads" they're tenors.

1024
2003-12-27, 04:03 AM
they're quads, because quads sounds cooler.

Rayder
2003-12-27, 04:26 AM
Quad generally refers to 4 of something. Quadratic, quadruple, etc. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=quad There are 5 heads of a tenor drum

eXoSloth
2003-12-27, 04:18 PM
