ARGH!!!!!!! I HATE THIS GAME!!!!!!! I got this game for Christmas for my computer (even though I did not ask for it) and two days of playing and I still have a hard time beating the third level. THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST FRUSTRATING GAME EVER!!!!!!!!

I mean would it of killed the devs to put more than just one check point in a level? You go through half the level moronically hacking and slashing at everything you see and you finally reach the boss. It kills me when I've got it to an inch of its life!! MOTHER FUCKING SON OF A BITCH!!!!!! To make things worst you have to go through half of the level once again hacking and slashing. You reach the boss and it once again kills you when you are soooooooooooooo close to killing it.

I just plain fucking hate this game and its a shame really. I'd enjoy it more if the devs had just added another check point or two. Anybody else who's ever played this game find it just as frustrating???? Ive tried all 3 characters.

P.S. Gimli is my favourite

So, your on what? Pelennor fields? Or is it the Southern Gate? Or, if you count Helms Deep, that would be the Undead King. He's not that hard really, just memorize his attack pattern, and when he goes underground to bring his soldiers, run back behind the rock with the ammo thing and just use ranged attacks. Also, parry, this is one of the most useful skills in the game, just keep pushing the parry button and you will never get hurt, save for unblockable attacks/explosions. Use speed attacks when he pauses when your close up, or fierce, either one works. The ending is a bitch though, first gate is easy, second one, parry, take the shields out. The champions aren't hard, just speed attack (use orc hewer, one of the best combos in game, if you don't have it your a moron). Also, if your having trouble, try the path of the wizard (left), it's by far the easiest because Gandalf has an excellent combination of speed + power (after the first two missile upgrades, they really kick ass. Don't do the path of the hobbits yet, it's hard because your used to being able to take out your opponents in a couple of hits. Do it after you completed the other 2, then, when you do do it, always go for a killing move (they have the fastest). Just come back if you need more help.

Not so much practice as royally fucking up, getting pissed, and then dominating it. It's extremely short btw (special feature level is hella fun :))

Got it 2 weeks ago... completed it... it's really easy... I used aragorn most of the time :p.

Just practice... you'll get better... as with any game.

lol here's what the devs said...or something to this effect: We wanted the game to be tough enough so a gamer can't blow through it but still not be impossible

what does this add to the coversation?

Jack shit, once you learn how to do orc cleaver, combined with dark dilverence, at the right time, your set for the whole game. They even give you insta-kill weapons that will kill the strongest champions that aren't bosses in one hit! As a gamer, it took me two days of about 5 hours a day to beat it.

I used Gandalf whenever possible, thousand year old wizard that can take out a cave troll in 3 hits? Altough, I must say I got confused on the walls of Minas Tirath level, couldn't find the catapult.

Which Minas Tirath? Courtyard? Courtyard was by far, the funnest for Gandalf's loner path.

Ok first off, the PC version and the other versions seem to be almost 2 different games in terms of ease of completion. In the past month of PC Gamer, they reviewer described it as almost being a challenge from the designer to "Go ahead, see if you can beat this one" Basically all the characters are almost identical in style of play and the game is OMG hard on PC. I have never played it but i have watched someone play through alor of the PS2 version, and it was nowhere as hard as the review stated.

That's one persons' view, they may suck at gaming, but be a good writer, or, they may be both a good writer and a good gamer. For some people, it's much easier, for some, harder, but if you've got people who know what they're doing helping you out, it's much easier.

And it's funny how the creator of this help thread hasn't replied

I downloaded the Demo and really enjoyed the Xbox version of TTT. However, consoles that port over to PCs always suck ass unless they redesign the interface. Mouse/Keyboard combo sucks ass in RotK and makes for an extremely dissapointing experience. The only console port to PC I have ever played that didnt suck ass was KOTOR but thats because Bioware knew WTF they were doing and totaly redisigned the interface for PC users.

It is a shame that you have to get a console controller for your PC to play games like this because console controllers are so inferior to Mouse/Keyboard it isnt even funny. At least with PC games you can Hex edit if you encounter an impasse due to poor design

Looks like what you need to do is play some Planetside.
