For people who been on airlines alot and know the rules. I gota question or two.

They ask for license befoer boarding the plane right (even on state to state flights right?)? Well I'm 6'3", 200lbs., and look like a senior in highskool, but i'm only 13. They wont let you on unless they know how old you are. What should I need if they think I'm old and dont have a drivers license? I'm flying alone btw.

Second, Its a 2 way trip. Im flying form San Jose to phoenix, switch planes, then fly from there to Orlando and get picked up. On return its a one way trip. Now I wants with the inflight services? (Im flying SouthWest) 1 ride is about 3 hours and the second one is 7. Inflight food, inflight movie, what do I get to keep myself entertained? The only rides Ive been on was a international (15 hours) and whatever the name is for just inside state (1 hour), whats the difference about just throughout the US?

Sry if it is confusing to read. Im all jacked up on this.an I only got 2 months before I fly.

6'3, 200 lbs. and 13?!?!?! HS!

Okay, to keep myself entertained, i just look out the window. I don't fly that often, but I've always wanted a pilots liscense and the sort. Even if its just looking at clouds, (and your not flying through Texas :p) it's beautiful.

look into getting a state issued ID. Some states you can get this at your local Dept. of Motor Vehicles. I'd call the airline you're flying out on too. Ask about their security policies.

I believe you can get Photo ID's from your driver license centers.

EDIT: Damn you Sent you beat me to it! :D

I've had a few rides, lemme tell you.

They'll let you on without a license, your parents may have to escort you past security at the very most, but that's only if they think you're a terrorist. I've flown Southwest, no movies on theirs as far as I know, but they have these snack boxes that are pretty good. Try to sleep, or read a really good book, there isn't much else.

You'll be fine an international flight should be all the flying you'll need to experience to know enough about it.

I'm 14 and I usually just use a school ID and I keep myself entertained by buying a magizine at the airport and bringing a portiable cd player with me

My friend flew in from out of state alone, your parents call the airline and tell them that someone will be picking you up there, and that person has to go and get a boarding pass when they're at the airport, so they can meet you right when you get off the plane, I think school ID is fine.

Some schools don't give ID's. Like mine for example never did. And I still think they don't.

I dont know how flying under 18 works - your on your own there :P

I've flown a bunch of times now, you will be nervous at first its only natural. My first flight I looked out the window the whole time - there is nothing like being above the clouds - and takeoffs rule they are the funnest part of the flight

My first flight on an airline took me from Wiscosin to San Diego. Then it was off to boot camp. Needless to say, flying over the Grand Canyon was great.

hmm, well, i liked landing the best, nothing like seeing the ground come up. and all the takeoffs i had were through clouds, and only one landing through clouds, that sucked. and im afraid of flying, but you get used to it. all in all, i was so fuckin scared the first two times i read the same magizine on the plane a total of 6 times to keep my mind off of it. all in all, i wish i brought a CD player on the plane, and just jammed out to it, and after a while, you get used to it, and can stare out the window. and as for security, its really tightened with this threat level on High, so expect to get screened.

I despise flying... I fly so often, and my company always sticks me in the cheapest flight possible... I am 6'4" tall and 180lbs... The seats are so freaking uncomfortable for me that on a flight from Vegas to Detroit I could not sleep at all because I was SO uncomfortable!

As for what to do, see if you can find a Gameboy SP and a bunch of games... In particular grab a fast game and a long game... Something like Wario Ware, which has a bunch of really fun short games you can play in a hurry... Then find something more long and involving like Final Fantasy Tactics or if you like Pokemon at all, I think that is really long and involving.

I do not have a GBSP, so I don't know how long the batterys last, but I think they are rechargeable, so you can not bring extras right? That could be a bummer... Maybe they make something so you can use extra batteries?

And I always recommend sleeping if possible during a flight, nothing will make an eight hour flight go faster then being asleep for seven of the eight :)

Flying is fun. Nothing like hearing the engines power up to 75% throttle, brakes release you get thrown back in your seat, and you hear the roar of the engines as they reach full throttle. Sweet shit :)

I got strip search by some asian dude, cuz my belt buckle kept going off, Sleeping is fun when in-flight, I've slept through all the flights I've been on haha, same with me this summer....but i was lucky, it was a damn fine asain woman.:brow:

As for what to do, see if you can find a Gameboy SP and a bunch of games... Dont got one and I dont think any of my friends would let me borrow theirs, but i see where your going with it.

i liked landing the best, nothing like seeing the ground come up. and wheels screaching and the whole damn plane shaking, ya its ok but it freaks me out sometimes.

New idea, sneak some porn in, even better entertainment than your crappy books or movie what do you think will be in my duffle bag, saving trees magazine?:D

My friend flew in from out of state alone, your parents call the airline and tell them that someone will be picking you up there, I'll be switching planes not even close to a hobo....

They'll let you on without a license, your parents may have to escort you past security at the very most, Ya i know, the parent thing will happen if everything else fails, same as above. What about then?

look into getting a state issued ID. Some states you can get this at your local Dept. of Motor Vehicles. You could get those even at my age? I thought you get them if you dont get a driver's license. (I know nothing) You pay or are they free?

I've flown Southwest, no movies on theirs as far as I know I know there is a small plane and a big plane, I've been on the smaller one and it had no movie. I'm betting I'm taking teh big one so i must know wth they are gona play or if they have movies (if they do, it better be some badass R movie)

I think my questions are answered, thx. ;)

You're flying alone?

There won't be dick to do on either flight, but there will be some small snacks to eat. On your longer flight they will serve 2 snacks, but no meal. You need to bring about 40 extra bucks so you can get some real food at the airports. Make sure to wash your hands alot once you arrive. Bring alot of magazines and leave the one's you've already read in the terminal, or in the seat back for the next guy. Make sure to get up and stretch your legs every hour, ask to sit on the aisle seat so you can put you legs out. If someone's picking you up, don't raise your hand when they say someone can be bumped. Keep you mouth open on accent and decent to keep from hurting your ears.

Methinks you can just bully them into letting you on, and if they arrest you, your a minor :\

And if there is a really annoying baby, ask one of the flight attendants to put something in it's drink (if the mother gets it one) to put it to sleep. Sure, she would get sued for drugging the baby, but it'd make the trip a helluva lot quieter.
