I'm making a website for a NC outfit, and I've been downloading and using a lot of custom fonts. (I hope to be hosted on PSU when I'm finished =)

I just noticed that other computers do not display the custom fonts. Is there any way to get the fonts I choose to be displayed correctly on other computers short of making the text a .jpg picture?

Any help is appreciated.

thats a toughy. I think you can get computers that don't have the custom font downloaded so that the font will appear in a more widely ranged used font. But im just talking out of my ass

Yeah thats what is happening now, the font changes to 'Times New Roman' on other computers =/

You shouldn't force people to download fonts. If you're making a page that has some odd fonts for headers and stuff you should make them images (gifs work fine too for images with low color count, they take up less space than a jpg sometimes). Probably isn't a good idea to use an odd font for your main page text too... people don't have a problem with normal text. :)

Alright, thanks for the advice, custom fonts do look a lot nicer though.

Ill just take the critical fonts and turn them into a image files.
