No idea if this kind of thing has been mentioned before...

What if there was an implant that allowed the user to see through walls or doors briefly? Maybe showed the body heat or something. Infiltrators would find this useful to check before hacking a door. Also you may want to get an idea of what you're facing when storming a CC. It would drain your stamina very quickly though. Just an idea since I find most implants to be boring.

The COOLNESS indicator is off the scale, but it would just be too buggy. Just picture it: One moment you're looking through the door, the next you're looking through a door halfway across the continent.

I'm curious as to what bug issues you are thinking of.

Thermoscopy implant. Takes a huge amount of time to charge, activation sucks up half your XP (for the balance whiners) and then it deactivates for a long period of time (kinda like when you respawn, only you didnt respawn). It only leaves an imprint- like the frozen-screen of when you take a screenshot. It doesn't stay on.

The counter? Just an idea... I haven't put a cool-oh name to it, but it would essentially involve something that either surrounds the body in a temperature sheath that matches the room you're in, or it actually lowers the core body temperature. And because physiologically this is dangerous, such a counter could sap ALL your stamina in one hit, and as you slowly "recharge" stamina, your temp goes back up.

Yes, audio amp does work if they're not moving. It won't pick them up, but it will work.

You would have ot give it less range than darklight cause if it wasnt it could override darklight and give endless detection of Infs. But if you cut it to a range jsut enough to see like 20 feet it would be cool for and against infs, and maybe encourage people to pick if over other things to specialize in base defense and increase the affect of base infiltration 8) I like it if its atleast half the distance of darklight and is heat detection through walls. Or the same distance as darklight or more and only xray and is cancelled by infiltrator suits that are cloaked. Not that you couldnt see them when they uncloakd to hack. 8)

I have a feeling you would have ot decrease hack timers for everything though, but that would with these implants increase and make some aspects of base defense more fun. Especially when you try to run at a guy and realize your not gettinga any closer cause theres a wall there. :lol:
