Best free forum?

What are your opinions on the best free forum? I'm not talking about EZ board and the like, I'm talkin about open source ones like PHP BB etc.

I don't think a ripped version of vBulletin is hard to come across at all, surely there's a reason why it's the most used piece of forum software out there ;) phpBB looks like a very powerful, flexible and completely free option. I have seen impressive portals being made using just a little knowhow and the forum software.

If you can get it, vBulletin's tops ... if you'd rather stick with the right side of the law then phpBB2 is probably just as nice.

There is a new free forum out there that has the same look and feel as this one. In my opinion it's the best free forum money can buy!!!
