Well, soon my outfit will lose its #2 rank on the TR Markov boards due to no one ever playing. No ones leading the outfit because you have to be a corpral to do so, and the last time a corpral played was too long ago. Barely anyone plays alltogether. We had once 700 members playing PS, now its like 10 active members on a daily basis. I guess it isn't really gona be TGIF any longer.
We already dropped in outfit members, its only an ammount of time before we drop in outfit points. Oh well.
Ya know the leaderboards make outfits rivals, not to rival empires, but to the people that respawn outa the tubes you've respawned out of.
Oh well. Do you guys know what a failing outfit is like?
I do I was in TR SPECIAL FORCES and when FF XI came out all of the big members went to go and play it and none really stayed. Then I got outfit leader since I was originally 2nd in command anyway because I was the only remaining founding member of the outfit. I tried to start it up again but it didn't work so I finally gave up.

well my outfit is like a chunk of people who left a larger outfit coz it turned shitty, and we tried to start it up, we were missing our CR5 outfit leader TacticalCommand for like a month, his comp blew up or something but we got him back and things really picked up we had like full platoons on TS and shit then he got the bootstick because another CR5(Rahl, sworm enemy of LD) was pissing him off and he spazzed over global, and then things ended up as all the lesser members just left, and only the big gmoney cash playas remain, but we love it even when we arent playing we always got TS running and were always talking, we know shit about everyone its wicked, we always have tons o fun when playing, like our regular thing we do is we go to ceryshen take qumu and then fortify the shit out of it and just fuckin defend that bitch for as long as we can hold it, we even ended up taking the whole thing once coz everyone followed us there, and we usually fight anarchy 99 at qumu n after we lose we like meet up in the CC and partay!! so yea.......

It's such an unholy misery to get Command Experience that a lot of people no longer feel the desire to play, having reached br20.
Command XP needs a buff.

When you've been in a outfit for a very long time then you don't just want to leave it and especially if you are a founding member of the outfit and the outfit has been there for 3 months. It is different if the outfit split up in the next 4 days even if you were a founding member.

I do. I was in Angels of Retribution on VS/Emerald when I frist joined the faction/server. It was a great up and coming outfit, then it just fell apart. I kept playing for them though, as did a couple of other people. Eventually we realized nobody was active anymore and quit. Then I whimsically joined VSS and the only reason I didn't quit is because, after using it as a source for squad members to reach CR5, I would have felt bad in doing so. But a week ago when I returned after a long absence I had no problem quitting. So finally, I am solo again, yay.

yeah i know what its like my outfit is slowly dieing too, we uses to have 10 active members on at most any time you wanted to play. I'm trying to find an outfit that will take us, and mabee allow us to keep some of our rank (like i'm the second in command i don't want to be a grunt again)

Yep, I know what it feels like. I was in Digital Marines. A Major, with DiM it was Commander in Cheif, the Generals, and the Majors, then so on and so on. I was next in line to become a General. I played the role of Recruitment Officer. I was not a founding member but a very good addition. We had great talent in our ranks and were growing in numbers. We were also in the Emerald Alliance. When I first started playing Planetside I was solo for about a week, then got interested in the Digital Marines. I was invited, and moved my way up the ranks with reliability and Loyalty. BUT, all good things must come to an end. The members started to leave, moral went down, and the leadership went to shit. Some of us had ideas and dreams. We realized we couldn't make these dreams come true with DiM, So we made a new outfit, Liquid Force. I changed my ways and parted with my old friends, some hated it, some understood and even came along. Now as I look back yes it was sad leaving but now I'm happier than ever. Our new outfit is growing steadily and progressively. Find a new outfit, start over, you'll find new people. If a new outfit is what you want, you could give mine a look. The group I spoke of was not a big outfit. We had about 50 members total. The leader got tied up with school starting up and without him we all fell apart slowly.
Wasnt talking about you...

I for one can certainly agree.
For the longest time, prebeta, I was with the Vanu Alliance. We all ended up becoming good friends, "Training" on BF1942 demo server
Unforunalty, the creator(s) of this outfit left before release >_>
However, we had another leader, Wind (Voted best CR5 VS on emerald ) that was even better tacitaly. We didnt have many people, like 10 extremly active, 20 on the roster, but we were ALWAYS in the top 10. We got up in the top 5 a few times.....we had some of THE best players Planetside had to offer.
Alas, some decided early on, that planetside isnt worth its 13 bucks. We lost a few good members there...
But we held strong. We continued to play as good friends, and accomplished many raids, and kept our top 10 slot.
It went this way till a few months ago.....hmm...I think it was in between shoots for LIBERATION that this happened....Vanu Alliance merged with Reborn Light, which at the time looked pretty good. They had some dedicated members, we were all dedicated, we were trying to grow a little.
I of course, was against it, I KNEW that we would lose even more of our dedicated friends/members, which ended up happening. This started a chain reaction, which eventually ended up with me, and 3 or 4 other guys remaining from VA.
I was sad :tear: but i kept my spirits up, and played valiantly with others from reborn light. Then..everything started to fall apart.
The leader of the outfit previously known as Vanu Alliance, moved in RL. He lost his high speed connex in the process. So, therefore, the person that encouraged us the most, and was helping coordinate the merger, and change some aspects of the outfit, was unable to play.
After this, it was only a matter of time....after another month or so, some of the leaders or Reborn Light were invited to join some TR "CR5" outfit on Markov.....I warned them, multiple times, that this would lead to the demise of our outift...but they didnt listen, not once. "We still play one emerald, dont worry about it" But I did worry and for a reason....
Eventually many members of Reborn Light NOT established as CR5's on emerald, were feeling a "Leetist" vibe from leaders, seeing as they hardly played on emerald with the rest of em, and this "outfit" was for cr5's only...so, they came to the leaders of Reborn Light with this problem, and got a few of them invited on word of mouth from the RL commanders...I turned this offer down.
There were like 5 members left that ever played. And a few of them were being bitches about command rank....I took a break from planetside at this point. I needed a break, this is where is was "converted" to FFXI. I come back after a month, with the plan to continue playing planetside.
I learned that someone was promoted to 3rd highest rank in the outfit (im 3th btw as well...i accually earned my slot...:
Leader
Subleader
Council Head
Council Member
ect ) On the basis this he was whining and bitching that he would leave the outfit if he was not promoted...if i was there i would have told him to shove it, but i would have prolly been shot down anyways, on account of our so few people.
Also around this time, people still dedicated to planetside as VS left for other outfits.... And then,
One of the last original VA members left RL for Sturmgrenider. Word spread how "great" they were...and we lost pretty much everyone to them. They still "Play" with reborn light..but are dedicated to NC a lot more then VS..hell i had to create Seperate "server" and "Empire" Channels in Vent.
My account was gone. Shortly after, SOE sent me a free reactivation for 10 days, (which extended to like 25 btw) and I went to check everyone out. 90% of the time NO one on the RL roster was on.
<<<Person has joined the server>>>
Person: Hey, want to come play TR on markov?
Gohan: Maybe later, but as I have told you guys, from pre beta, till now, I joined this outfit to play as vanu on emerald, not to play with some leeitist cr5's from different servers.
And then we have now. My account has been un-trialed by SOE, and I have intent on resubscribing. The only reason I held on so long is because i was fighting along side my buds...who no longer play.
My Planetside Life story...100% true 100% too long for this thread.

In my experience Outfits with fewer members are more fun because you know everyone a little better. Thats not true across the board but if you get in the right one it's great.

I whole heartedly agree. I used to do a fair amount of commanding when I was playing beta. Now with the hart timer changed to 5 minutes it's such a massive pain in the ass to form a decent sized squad and keep them orgainized. Everybody just zergs into battle like a bunch of mindless idiots (which it seems that many PS players actually are). Only outfits will ever load up a gal and invade a locked continent before the zerg moves there. It seems like nobody will even attempt to work as a squad and move together. Everybody seems to have the attention span of a 5 year old now. It's just not fun to command anymore. Nobody wants to work as a team, nobody wants to listen to orders, nobody wants to wait a minute for the squad to regroup and move together, they'd rather move into a hotzone single file and get slaughtered single file. I liked the game A LOT better when the hart timer was 15 minutes. I could probably even deal with a 10 minute timer, but 5 minutes is too damn short and does nothing but crush the teamwork aspect of the game and promote the stupidity and non-funness of the zerg.

I completely disagree. I think it needs a nerf. There are already way too many CR5s running around. I quit for two months and people I had never even heard of had made CR5. Clearly it's happening too quickly for those dedicated to making it.
