I recently got wireless internet connection, and it never disconnects and is really fast. Keep in mind im feeding the network with a cable connection. Download speeds vary but over all its been really good. Planetside is doing great, but when you enter a zerg you'll get bad pings for a couple seconds i guess cause the wireless router takes awhile to process everyone in the area. Similar if you were using a wired connection but a little bit worse. Zergs dont even slow it down. For Planetside it works really well their is only one concern, packet loss it says 2 percent but i havent noticed any warping even in outside zergs. Overall a wired ethernet cable is better but if their is no other way wireless has been working great for me. I will be getting a wired connection soon but, their have been some threads about this topic and i wanted to tell you my personal experience over the last past two weeks.

Setup:
Linksys 802.11g Wireless Router (Running 802.11b, thanks for the tip Marsman) :)
Linksys 802.11g (NIC)

P.S: 802.11b and g are backwards compatable

What is your rated signal strength? Usually it is a number of bars, and a useless description like "very good."

Also what did Marsman say about 802.11b vs g? Are you running b instead of g on g hardware? How come?

wish my wireless network ran like yours. one of the reasons I got fed up with PS is cause I died more than I should cause of packet lose

I get 5.0 Packet loss at most, Very Playable its 102.11b setup. I still like a solid wire though

Mars said to run it at B cause i was having some problems with G
