You'll notice he said:

Which means that, the beta is either completed or nearly completed and in a downloadable format already! Shwing!

Unfort, I am not even signed up for beta :(, but I am still excited because beta means more info on planetside and it's that much closer to testing, and therefore that much closer to completion, and therefore that much closer to release!!! :D

Just thought I'd pass da info along.

Thats nothing! I'd happily sit and watch the load bar crawl accross the screen for 10 hours to get the beta, but I'll do what I always do. Start the download then go into cryogenic sleep (in my bed :D) for a few hours.

but anyhow, bring on the beta! :D

I would voluntarily lock up my computer for 48 hours downloading that thing. I unfortunately did not sign up for beta in time, and now I hate myself. Devs have mercy on a l33t whore. Waitaminute, I think the people most inerested and dedicated to the fan sites should get in. Say the top 30 or so from every site. I gotta be in there.

Woudln't a gig be less than 10 hours? Neocrons Beta was a gig and I don't remember it taking 10 hours.

It would be less than 10hrs, but its still big. PS is probably a couple gb.. they said it was going to be 3cd's

I was going to download the E&B demo but I didnt have enough reason to get it. If I had the chance to download PS I would. The largest files I've downlaoded have been a couple mega bytes of Kazaa, god that sucked! It was good quality movies BTW. Not 25 Gigabytes of porn!

The download feature would probably only be available to the first couple hundred folks we let into the test. When we let in the thousands of folks later, we'll be sending out CDs to avoid download glut.
