This dude must not be familiar with digital cameras. Digital cameras, by the very DIGITIZED nature of the camera, give a bit of color distortion, in addition to adding harsh-light features.

And since the second one is more of a faded-color artsy picture, they're going to look the same. Ever seen a celebrity without their screen makeup on? Some of them are definitely "two different people".
