TR are losing faith!?

It dissapoints me to see that alot of TR players are ditching to go to the NC. I visited the official PS forums to see a few threads of people saying they are ditching TR to go NC.

And as of lately the TR have been under the " Empire Needed" section alot.

Which gets me wondering. Am I going to be one of the last remaing TR players if nothing is done to help them? Is there anyother TR players who will stick till the end? No matter how large the other empires get. I'd rather drop dead then have to give up my cycler.

No this is not a "BUFF THIS, NERF THAT" thread. Its more like finding out who are the dedicated TR players?

I'unno Hamma. It takes a lotta guts to delete a high-level character. I was almost in tears* when I deleted Spee, my BR18, CR2 NC MAX specialist.

you can take all the grabage that come to the NC for all i care, we have a lot of newbs that piss me off sometimes, i don't want stupid people that coem over just becasue some wepons are more powerfull. But look at it this way, whenever i log on the world map looks one of 3 different way's

Its not just the leadership on Markov that is lacking. Its also the leadership on Emerald that is lacking. All us Emerald TR have to deal with the ****** CR5. (Smiley777, Godjoey, Buzz cut phsycho). Hopefully all the n00b TR players will leave for the NC, and well be able to get some decent leadership going on.

The lancer doesnt suck, it just causes lag. That in turn causes poor weapon usage.

I just switched to TR from NC. I played TR off and on to give them a try, but mostly played NC because all my friends do. But tonight I got fed up with the NC. Their organization skills are pathetic. It seems like the NC are experiencing what the VS got before the lasher was nerfed. Basically, we have all the crappy n00bs now. I play this game to co-operate with a team, and damnit I'm not gonna let some newbie ruin it for me.

We are not losing faith. But as one of our outfit mates said, before he quit PS, he just wasn't having fun anymore. I don't mind getting killed. If I did, I would find another game to play. But I do mind getting killed so cheaply (the one shot your dead instagib surging agile jack hammer noob come to mind). I also don't mind having weak weapons, if on balance, we had a few strong ones. But come on now, almost all of TRs best weapons are: Common pool (skyguard, thumper, deci, etc.). With the exception of the cycler, we don't really have anything on par with the NC (or cool stuff like the vs max special abilities). So no wonder the population is fleeing TR. Note to devs: If this keeps up, we might as well retire the TR, cause we will cease as a viable empire.

I have a high-level TR character that I am working on maxing out. I have a TR outfit that I have been with since exclusive beta. We will not pussy out and go NC or VS. I will not sell out. Cowardice is disgusting, and that's exactly what this is. "Oh boo-hoo, I get owned by NC Jackhammers!"

I'm sick and tired of Fairweather Johnsons. I'm sick and tired of looking on my friends list and seeing names, wondering where the hell they are and doing a /who, then seeing NC or VS next to their names. I'm not an uber-leet killer, I don't rack up dozens of kills with orbital strikes and my MCG camping a spawn tube. But I fight hard and I lead my outfit, and I plan and device battles and strategies that allow us to fight a little smarter.

If you're TR on the Emerald server and you're sick and tired of playing home defense, if you're sick and tired of being steamrolled and pushed back, and you want to be better organized and play with well-known outfits that will support you, then unite with us. I'm working my way to CR5 on Markov... so maybe one day I'll be able to help out... While I'm on the topic, kudos to AzGhosthawkx for his leadership on Forseral last night. He gave specific instructions and they were executed that allowed for a very good fight against the VS.

Back on topic... The low population of TR on Markov is getting to be a problem. Usually TR can hold one set of bases on one continent while by sheer numbers (and population lock), the NC and VS usually split the rest of the continents. When TR is pinned to one set of bases, it gets frustrating since it only allows for one type of play style, which is "kill X people, die, respawn in same base."

While I don't want to start a Jackhammer debate, I do feel that many people are lured over to the NC as a result of this...

One quick tip to MCG users: Run back as you're firing! MCG has a much greater range than the Jackhammer, so if you see a Surgile Jackhammer wielding psycho running at you, run back and keep firing. Also, the MGC's cone of fire does not really change even if you're running, ducking, jumping, etc, so try and use those things to your advantage as well. On most 1 vs 1 situations in an open space (such as outside a tower), I usually win against Jackhammer users. The only places that I get into trouble is when the NC is charging a spawn room or tower and I'm limited to a certain area... Of course, I wouldn't use the MCG then... I switch to the plasma spraying Thumper!

To all TR players out there... Stick with it! Hopefully Sony will soon realize that a "desireability" problem exists and will make appropriate changes to compensate the TR. Look on the bright side! Even if they don't compensate us... at least there's more NC and VS to kill!

Well, I'm just an SA grunt for the NC really. I've tried playing TR, but the TR feel is all wrong. People are uber-serious, as evidenced by some of the replies in this thread. I play games to have fun, and the TR attitude(typical attitude) along with the lack of fun weapons keeps me from ever playing my TR characters. Throw in the fact that the TR vehicles require 3 people instead of 2, and suddenly you have to rely on the teamwork of zealots that you don't care for. Although most TR players seem cool, I think most the Nazis went TR as well.

A few TR can delay an nme invasion much longer than the same number of NC or VS, meaning that more TR bodies are available to be thrown into the offensive on a different cont (while still holding back the nme on the 1st cont long enough for the offensive to succeed).

It may seem like it, but its not that way. That's just using strategy by playing your opponents onto each other.

I haven't been in a losing battle against the TR since before the balance pass. They need some fixes, I'd say.

Well, I decided to play my TR character on Emerald tonight, and I see how a misguided TR with no grasp of strategy would think that the NC and VS had teamed up against them. Here's the situation I saw:

On Searhus, TR have the East and the Cauldron and Tara(the tech plant to the east). NC own Wakea(the Interlink facility norht of Tara) only. The VS have a few bases in the north and hacked their way into a base in the south. It's a messy situation, and obviously, the TR have no link to Tara, the tech plant, and it lies squarely between an NC force and the VS force. A CR5 insisted that it was the facility in need of the most defense, even though we had another tech plant. I tried arguing, but was put on ignore. I asked a couple players, and apparantly this is a respected CR5. I suppose the bad ones would have pulled all forces into the cauldron for a last stand. If this John Wayne attitude of take on everybody is the TR idea of strategy, it's no wonder you guys get creamed. While the other empires are trying to get you between them and the other empire, you're playing right into their hands.

If that was true, they would switch back right after they realized they keep dying anyway. Keep in mind, you can have more than one empire character, so it is easy to switch (BTW, anyone notice that the population problem has become more accute since the server merger?).

People move and stay because they have stopped having fun as TR. Maybe it is leadership (if so, please all you leet dudes that are nc/vs, switch to TR now and lets fix this). But it is more likely that all these people crying on the forums have a point. There is a slight problem with TR weapons. They are not that fun to master and have a steep learning curve. We also have had some nerfs and bugs that have reduced the weapons effectiveness. As such, we are more and more being forced into using common pool weapons to defend ourselves. This is frustrating, so people leave, which causes lower populations and more unrest, more people leave, cycle goes on and on.

To fiix this, the devs will need to do some TR weapons buffs (to fix the imbalance and draw back that population. On a more personal level, you the individuals out there can help fix it by playing TR more (yes that goes for you long term NC/VS leet dudes, if you really think this is just about population, than join TR and lets balance this out now). And if your not willing to put your money where your mouth is, then you should probably STFU about these threads.

I would go help TR if I played US servers. I play werner and it has no population probs. it seems the TR on werner are a bit better then the ones on US servers, go figure.

and if what they say about TR "tactics" and commanders here is true, I can understand why they're leaving.

I assure you the VS (at least my outfit) does not have any agreements with the NC. We hate them as much if not more than you m*********ers! The whole of our empire shouldn't be under suspicion because of the actions of a few ninjas. We actually like to target hossin more than anywhere else.

I'm definatly a NC follower, and i forever will be in mindset. However, I'm nearing my second br20 NC character and Cr doesnt interest me at all (cr chanels just seem like it'd be an annoyence on my hud)

So most likely, im gonna make a tr character. When i had first chosen my empire back in beta, i almost beame Tr. It wasnt the weapons, colors, or backstory that made my decision but rather the overall personalities of the players... back then, all Tr's top guys and the majority of the players were frankly, real dicks. More than likely thats changed by now, expecially if hamma and some of you other guys on this forum still remain Tr. No ass kissin, just character judgement.

For all its worth, expect a new recruit in a few months with dedicated loyalty and respect as long as it is shown to him... Gonna be wierd though screaming "Loyalty Until Death!" instead of "Pass me a beer while i reload my shotgun!"

This is weird to me, since for the majority of the game time till the recent server merge it was always the VS that fell in the empire needed category. At least on Emerald.
