Today I went to Emerald to use my n00bie BR4 TR charachter since Werner was unplayable with "you have left the world" crashes. Off I went to instant action with my TR charachter "VanuOwnYou." It took me to a tower on lokced continent.

Crap i thought. Oh well...
On I plodded. After a bit we fought the NC away from the tower and I proceeded to the enemy base, only to get vashthestammped kill me with a vanguard in the field.
At the tower I would consider the numbers of TR to be a zerg by VS Werner Standards.

So i took the long route, got to the back door and waited. After about 3 mins a cloaker came along and let me in. We went through the base and to the spawn tubes.

In seconds I took out the spawn tubes. I grinned as I waited for the TR to storm the place and wipe out the NC forces, which is what would have happened if it were VS assaulting the base. Gal drops would ensure that the NC woulnt stand a chance.
But the TR never came. No-one took advantage of the enemy lack of spawns. I got bored and decided to wander about the base to distract the NC, then eventualy they got it back up, and I went back there. In the end 6-7 NC took me out.


I was totaly shocked at the TR's total lack of vehicles, especialy galaxies. From the tower to thoth they WALKED.

I play a TR character on Markov (Used to be Johari) and I am still amazed the few times I log on at the fact that no single TR has an sense. My outfit and I are AMAZED. Either I always solo or I squad with my outfit, because of all the crap TR do.

im nc on emerald,TR do use gals and such, me and my squad were attacking cerychen from solsar, we held them of pretty good, we did lose becuz they were dropping troops and maxs from gals like crazy :p i got mad kizilze, but we still lost even tho my squad was pwning the TR ,hopfully becuz they were n00bs :Di would hate to be pwning a TR vet like that , but they beat us to solsar were we continued to pwn VS and TR at the same time :D

Sorry, I should add. They walked from the WARPGATE TOWER to Thoth. Not the Thoth tower. They could easily have loaded up gals in the WG.

yes queen, i feel that TR are the best in my opinion, only becuz i am on defence most of my playing time , and TR maxes are defence , but seeing as my best char's are NC and VS , i cant play it fully

On the flip side, (I'm NC, but I've got a TR character) I think the TR equipment is actually the best, the cycler is, IMHO, the best in the game, the Gauss leaves very little error room because of the small clip size, whereas the Cycler with its 50 clip is able to miss a lot of shots and still kill its enemy. The Repeater is the best pistol, ever tried to kill someone more then ten meters away with a MagScatter? All you guys bitching about how TR only lose because of their stuff is 200 percent pure dumbass.

I haven't even played either of my TR characters for a while, but come on. I personally believe the cycler is the best as well, but it's certainly debatable. In the end, we are talking about a medium arm anyhow. Would you rather have the best heavy or the best medium? Oh that's right, you play NC. I guess the question is answered. I don't even think the MCG is getting the short end of the stick, but the JH obviously has it's merits in base/tower battles which other weapons are hard pressed to compete with.
Saying the Repeater is the best pistol is akin to saying that Grumpy was the best dwarf. I mean, you could be right but does it really matter? Only infiltrators are using pistols anyhow, and I would certainly argue that my kill rate is significantly higher when I jump to common pool over the empire specific pistols. Sure, I'll loot Repeaters and MagScatters when I get the chance specifically for the chance to kill people with their own weapons, but the AMP is just the best pistol for quick killing.

He's rite! in all of my time spent as a TR i found the wepons quite effective other than the normal lack of AV power in the AV wepon, god they all suck so much against Vehicles (not Maxes or Air they do fine on those) it takes forever to kill somthing with a Pheonix, Striker or Lancer something needs to be done.
Anyway, the cycer just rips though things a medium to close range the guass realy sucks at it, (the pulsar too but its a bit better due to fire rate/clip size) and at range it has such a good COF And recoil it leaves the guass in the dust, the faster damage drop at range means little when it can pump you full of lead so fast.

I propose a buff of MA AR's(minus cycler) becasue thats what should be the backbone of the armed forces, right now its HA or bo owned (unless you have leet sweeper skills as Bio can testify to)

So if I'm reading the direction of this thread correctly, the MA of the Terrans is their biggest advantage and now we should buff the other 2 empires to make sure that they're even with the TR? That's a great idea, it would please approximately 66.66666% of the empires.

I always have to laugh when the TR are zerging a tower with their MCG's a blazin away at the landing before the spawn room they stand there like they can't be hit or something and I kill like 3 guys with my Gauss it's hillarious. Granted this doesn't happen all the time but I usually see it at least once while under a TR zerg

No! You are very very wrong! No one said anything about buffing other empires... It's quite obvious that since TR's MA weapon is superior to those of other empires, that all TR should use that to their advantage. TRs should forget about their HA certs and use the Cycler full time. While we're at it, all TRs should forget their SA or AV certs too, since the Cycler IZ T3h ru13ztzz!

On Emerald at least, the Terrans can give you a good run for your money. However, not sure about other servers.

Note that I said *can*. The Vanu are usually better at it- they get the Flails shooting at us, covered by Magriders on the water. THOSE are a bitch.

:lol: I dont even have the HA cert, I despise surge/agile/JH users. Everyone seems to think that the entire NC force is made up of jackhammer users, in fact most people don't use it. In regard to the 'MA Buff', I'd just like to see a slight improvement on the Gauss' clip and a slight damage nerf.

What are you guys talking about?? TeraHertz is onto something here. Take it from myslef. A hardcore Emerald TR player. WE LACK VEHICLES!!!! We practically jog from one end to the other. We barely use any Gals or Sunderers. Everyone just grabs there Rambo Reavers and lightenings and run off. Its pathetic! We certainly dont use as many Prowlers as the NC use Vanguards or the VS use Magriders.

Its ashame alot of our players on Emerald like to pull off the lone soldier act, and go on a hey day with thier reavers.

I ask that you guys sacrifice racking up kills for once so you could atleast be a driver once in awhile.

I just wish they'd have given us a chain gun for Infantry and explosive projectiles for vehicles. not the other way arround.

I have group transport cert, and I must say it's basically a total waste for my TR char. Either the people have their own vehicle, or just plain refuse to enter a veh with you. I don't understand, but I am sure as hell dropping it soon.

:ugh: You see! This is the problem. I personally think the TR on Emerald are lacking teamwork. We need a serious alliance here or something. Because everyone runs around doing thier own things. They figure " Why should I ride in a Gal or Sunderer when I have my Reaver, lightening, skeeter." Because it has to do with teamwork!

Im willing to bet any money your dropping that ground transport for one of those 3 vehicles I mentioned, right?

I really don't care if TR weapons are bad or not. We can kick some major rear end. You probably ran into a situation where TR was targeting another continent. The problems we TR have are population based. Unfortunatley, folks see TR weapons as weak, they flee to NC or VS, population declines, we start losing more battles, more folks leave (because they blame the weapons), and the cycle continues until the devs get nervous and wave the nerf wand over the NC/VS. Somehow we have to combat this cycle. It really doesn't matter if TR weapons are slightly weaker than NC/VS, the perception matters. And perception is what is killing TR population.

So, unless you want the current population trends to continue (or the big nerf wand to come out), then somehow, we all need to attract more TR back. SO, here is the ultimate solution:

Those leet NC and VS dudes like TeraHertz, who tell TR to just be happy, Switch to TR. Simple, problem solved. We have a larger population and battles even out again. PLUS, your leetness guides us to glory. The common folk (herd) flock back to the winning team (TR) and all thought of TR weapons buffs slowly fades away. Then you can resume your NC/VS careers. If your not willing to do this, then we really don't need to hear you defend TR weapons and blame TR tactics/leaders/lack of leetness. Switch to TR and help us fix these problems or please STFU.

I don't even have HA, And any reduction in Guass damage is the wronge way to go, its suposed to be slower firing, have a smaller clip and have more punch to make up for that fact, but the guass doen't have it it has only marginaly better damage, a small clip(its fine that size), much slower fire rate(as it should be), and the worst COF of the three(not right, it should be pulsar, then cycler, tied with guass, but the guass has more recoil expand) add it together and it = crapyness


Battles are not uneven, its a "fake" uneveness, its the way PS works, you don't defend because it's "boring" you just go to a different cont and go on offensive zerg and own all the defenders.
