DE Ivis War question

In Antarctica, you are given the mission to free the "Gray". I think i found him outside one of the passages on the ice shelf in the same box as one was in the nightclub. So now that i found him, HOW THE FUCK do i get him out?? I have tried everything. Is there some remote button or anything that im missing???? Please help as i wanna save the cute lil guy.
