ok i wish you had the option to go into mock bases and have battles... you would first pick what team you want to be on red, blue, green what ever... then pick your equipment (you can pick anything its a VR) then go to one of the mock bases... you are ether the attacker or the defender... and its cycled from postion and empire... so one moment you can be TR fighting the vanu that are holding a tech plant then you are the vanu attacking a NC base... FUN to me... it can build your skill till you think you are ready for the real fight.
this also can be outfit combat staging area :groovy:

So you want to fight virtual battles in a virtual world?

It would at least be nice to have the targets move. I'd like to have targets in the vehicle range too. I know what you are getting at. The VR range is boring & uninspired. Enhancements would be welcome but what you are proposing might be too much. People would play only to do the training.

So technically that makes it a Virtual, Virtual world. :D
Is that a double negative? So is that really a real world, whoa!

Ehhh, this would tear people away from the game itself...But, I do think they should add moving targets and targets to the vehicle VR. And some other improvements to the VR would be more than welcome to me.

If I wanted something like this, I'd take my platoon to a owned continent to do it and avoid real enemies.

Something where enemies fire back and move, shooting at stationary targets in VR doesnt give you a realistic feel of weapons in combat.

why would i play counter strike when there are MUCH better games to play... like planetside for one.

No because Virtual isn't a negative.

Here's what you do. You go out and practice by actually playing Planetside. How's that? You want to know how well a weapon works in combat ... get the weapon and go play Planetside. The only purpose for a "training" area would be a place to hold outfit vs. outfit skirmishes or tournaments.

Haha, i did this the other night with 2 of my friends, and of course out of all the conts the VS came and FUDGED my fun up. So we kicked their asses out. We were playing for like 3-4 hours. We had duels and fights with only certain types of weapons, it was really fun. I won more than 3/4 of the time just...to...let you know ^_^

I found a newbie wandering around the sanctuary asking if anyone could tell him where to hack in a base. He was a BR3 Adv Hacker, and couldn't find the CC when he was going into nme bases. So I took him to a owned cont and showed him the 5 bases types and how to find the CC in each. A base walk through might be a nice addition to the VR center, before they are dropped into battle.
Meh, training is for suckers. What good is perfect aim if you are too stupid to use cover? What good is an organized squad marching forwards if they are unprepared for an attack on their flank? You need to fight in actual combat if you want to learn anything.

It probably would take away alot of players.

Errr so why not go into combat and get a realistic feel of combat.
No offense people but in real life as in the game, there is nothing that will really prepare you for real combat. I'd rather they leave training as it is and work on shit for thte game world at large.
