i need help with something.....so here it goes
lately after my dad got done fixing my computer , i began to get a bunch of connection lag, when i play , the doors will take like 2-4 secs to open becuz of connection lag, and sometimes i cant reload. And along with this annoyance is the worst 1 of all, i keep getting the "connection lost, trying to reconnect connection , loss of packets" message , then my dad said it might be the router and i unplugged and plugged it back in it and it still did it  any clue to help a fellow gamer out ?

Can you plug it back in without using the router just to test it out? A friend did that and it fixed everything, router can mess things up. He plugged the router in the next day and it was back to normal.

The loss of packets is happening to me also, but not quite as bad as you make it out to be for yourself. Did it work fine before your dad tinkered with it?

Many of us are having problems in the last few days but that sounds really bad.

If you take out all the parts with your dad in it, that is exactly the problem I have been having in the last week.

You don't know how many times I'm flying around, get in a dogfight, and that packet loss window pops up.

I got a router myself, often times its because someone is on a wireless phone and the signal messes it up. But it dpends on the frequency of your router. You can move your computer closer to the main signal thingy like i did, I moved mine from my room to my office and now i dont get connection problems at all on that cp. But i no longer use Planetside on that one, its way outdated but still good. Hope this advice helps.
