It's real. It is a video of a pilot training session - the guy was shooting landings. My advice is to go back to the classroom/simulators for a few more hours.

The first portion looks real, but the bouncing on landing is faker than michael jacksons nose.

I just can't see how thats real. I mean thats a charter aircraft bouncing up and down like a toy.

They aren't as heavy as you'd think, they are hollow, and those tires are quite rubbulated.

Most of the weight on an airliner is fuel and passengers (with their luggage). Pilots training would be shooting landings in an empty jet thus a lighter jet. Imagine the ride in that cockpit.

I hope they were strapped in. I wouldnt be surprised if they compressed a vertebre or two.

Aircraft landing / crashing physics are interesting.

I've landed a couple like that before, but only in a piper, not a fucking jetliner. That guy sucks balls.

But seriously though, if the blackbox is the only thing that really survives a crash intact, why don't they make the whole damn plane out if it?

because, smaller objects are more likly to survive a crash, and the bigger you go with any object, the more stress will be on the center, and what not, so itll break.

oh, and its very interesting, realities crash physics. put that in a game, theyd call it fake though

its a good thing they have a strict policy on commercial aircraft training. I'm glad its not like "Well, you did get a couple tires down good, we'll send you over to Southwest Airlines now."
