I have an idea that I think might improve Planetside. attrition. I think that spwning should take NTU. This would force players to be more efficient if they want to be successful. To successfully assault a base they would have to work together and make sure they had enough NTU to respawn.

they took it out due to zergs, it would be a bad idea to make defending harder.

/b Okay, all of you, we're at 30% and there are no ants--we need to conserve our resources. Please spawn at the courtyard ams for the love of god.

*sound of everyone laughing at me*

No...I don't think I want that to go back in.

See the problem with you idea is the towers dont track ntu consumption, so the onely people who get fucked up the poop shoot are the defenders, i dont want to see it go back to that, I like these bigger several hour long slug fests, even if i think the bases are just giant coffins for the defenders.

Rofl, yeah that totally sucked. Anyone remember when you could jackhammer a matrix panel over and over until the base was totaly drained? I miss the good old days

I dunno, I'm kinda split on the matter.

In one hand it used to really suck having your base go neutral right in the middle of a huge firefight.

On the other hand, some of my greatest rushes have been Gal dropping that critical ant through a rain of hell-fire to restock the Silo just in the nick of time.

I miss the combat ant drop, but I don't miss the ntu drain.

I usualy spawn at coutyard AMSs anyway. Less chance of nasty cloakers pouncing on me in the corridors and I can get to the battle faster.
I dont think respawning should degenerate base NTU.

*Bump*
"What was that."
*Turns round*
"Hmm."
*Sweeps corridor with gunfire, then continues running*
