I recently bought photoshop as I have tons of pictures that I would like to do different things with. Problem is - I'm an idiot with it and can't figure out shit.
I know that a bunch of you guys are monsters when it comes with photoshop and was wondering if you guys knew of any sites that had good, easy to follow tutorials.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Just add lots of lens flares and you'll be fine.

just play around with it you'll get the hang of it
if you select a tool and hold down a click on it another similar tool will come up
also get to know how to use the layers and shit

Well, I've played around with it but I don't have any knowledge in doing this sort of thing whatsoever. The layers are a bit confusing to me and it is harder to play around and pick things up when you have no f'n idea what is going on, lol.
I do like to just play around and learn things, but right now I don't have any basis of knowledge.

You actually bought Photoshop, arguably one of the most complicated computer applications around, and you have no idea how to use it?

the tool at the top of the list on the right that looks like an arrow moves layers, make sure you select the layer u want to move.
after a while of tinkering with it you'll get the hang of it, its not nearly as hard as 3d s max or lightwave

Make sure the BG is transparent, then save it as a .gif (has to be a .gif)
Default save settings should let it be transparent.

I would suggest messing around. Go through every possible option (theres a lot) and screw around. Then do some tutorials, read some stuff etc.
i suggest you RTFM or buy a book

setari: to make the bg transparent you need to use the magic eraser tool, then save it as a gif
