Anyone formed any Radiator squads? Radiator damages crew inside their vehicles (or so I'm told) so it seems like it would be pretty raw to have a bunch of guys go around and kick the crew out of vehicles (the hard way) and then hack the vehicle and go on a rampage.
Anyone got any stories about this kind of work?

hmmm that would be nifty getting like 5 or 6 guys with radiators and just beating up on vehicle crews. good idea.

Should just radiate the hell out of a base leading off the vehicle pad. You'd have your choice of vehicles to take.

Hehe, autodrive would suddenly become a race against death.

Do the bubbles overlap damages? IE can you throw down 2 radiation fields in the same space to do 2x damage?

I don't think so, and for good reason- then you'd have punk-asses dumping seventy radiator fields at every base entrance.

But would a dedicated Radiator squad be so much worse than a dedicated Heavy Assault/Sweeper crew?
I don't think people realize how deadly a group of Sweeper users is.

Wouldn't hold a candle to a maelstrom squad, god damn those fucking things are deadly, esp if they hold the high ground.

Expound upon the deadliness of the Maelstrom. I've been killed about twice since CC was launched by the Maelstrom.

Normal fire = flamethrower effect
Chainlash = uberthumper
two guys with maelstroms killed a good 7 of us on tuesday, thankfully the medics stayed back and we got all but one guy rezzed after they were dead.

Thanks. Unfortunately for me, I've had Heavy Assault for a grand total of 5% of my career, so it totally escaped me.

Radiation damage stacks. If you put one field atop another, anyone in that field save you will take damage equal to that of two normal blasts. Once the first one goes away however, and the second is still there, they only take normal damage. You can have up to 10 radiation fields out at one time.

I wonder what would happen if you were to take out the driver of a vehicle while it was still auto-driving off of the vehicle pad. I could imagine a squad of radiators throwing bubbles all over the vehicle pad and in front of it :P

Looks like the Radiator may be a pretty good answer to the proposed rexo buff.

The irradiator is one of those underused weapons that you rarely get the chance to see the real power of. However, it can be very powerful when used in groups. A few days ago, I was defending a base(which one escapes me) with a decent force of NC vs. a larger TR force, so I decided to try on the iradiator against the people siting behind cover. The TR were attacking the back door, so I just had to lob them over the batlements and make a field of helth drain.
I got a couple kills this way(I'm amazed too) and someone put out a broadcast for more people to use thumpers. The field of iradiation we put around the back door keep all TR, regardless of armor, from reaching the back door. It was an awesome sight to see so many bubles of death.
The moral of this story is that the Iradiator is next to useless alone, but in groups it becomes exponentialy more powerful. And yes, I believe the bubbles do stack.

Do you have to go all the way down to the caverns to get a Radiator? 'Cuz id that's so, then there's a reason why they suck: No one has them...

Nope, you can get them anywhere linked to a base with a Equipment modual. You must own Core Combat though(not worth it by the way)
