cloakers are about stealth right. the game needs to let them have suppressors and 1 pistol. no rifles. because pistols suck. but also to even it out let enemy bases have a cloak jammer for in side and out side of bases also if a cloaker gets to a certain point into a enemy base they would set off a alarm or a silent alarm to alert the enemy troops also give troops thermal goggles to see cloakers.

I'm all for letting cloakers have a short rifle slot, but the abuse factor just seems too high.

Any rifle slot (Supressor does fit into rifle slot in the game) would make infil overpowered. There is no need for thermal goggles as everybody and their brother has the dark light implant which does the same thing. Don't you think you should play the game a bit before giving recommendations for 'improving' it?

anyways since u seem new to PSU and looks like PS as well infils are already in trouble from the interlink benefits. We dont need a alarm going off when a cloaker is in the area. A Rifle slot for the infil is definitly a no no Like mad cow said it would be way to overpowered

The point of the infiltrator is to get in the base. They are the designed base infiltrators and were given stealth to do so, your not taking them away and changing game stratagy that much. You dont add things in this game to nuke an entire character to make your life easier. Its part of hte game and if you cant deal with the fact you have to guard against them you should go play another game.

rifle on cloakers would be bad but i wouldn't mind paying another 2 cert points for a second pistol holster.
Or give us another holster and take one pistol size away from our inventory

yeah a rifle stol on an infil would be WAY to powerful, imagine a cloaker with a Jackhammer? and lots of people have Darklight, so the thermal googles are redundant
They need to fix the bugs pertaining to infils first.

And read what I said. Any rifle slot, including supressor, would be overpowered. I play almost exclusively as an infil lately but I'm not interested in unbalancing the game for the sake of having a little fun myself. Something like an extra holster would not unbalance the class, something like being able to wield a rifle with excellent RoF and little CoF bloom would unbalance the class. There's a reason each of the pistols has gaping holes in their usefulness. Well, except for the Beamer which is damn near perfect.

ok well give the infils a gun that is fully auto is a smg but lower the power to less than the suppressor. base the gun off of the MP5

giving infil supressor is a bad idea. the supressor isnt really that bad of a gun has good ROF and COF and at close distances it wuold kick ass for an infil sneaking up behind someone.

hehe that'll be fun, but oyu have to restrict so that we won't have duel mag-scatter wielding cloakers cos thats not john woo fun, that's just as bad as a cloaker holding a Jackhammer and that's not fun. -_-

cloaker is fine except for the bug where your equipment in a holster becomes visible :\ the double wield thingy would work if:
you set it up to the same ROF. basically, pull the trigger in one hand, then in to other. fixes the Mag-Scatter issue. although the only real gain would be ammunition, which sometimes saves your life as a cloaker. any ideas on that?

You cannot give the infil a suppressor slot, it would turn into a cloaked sniper, which the devs definately do not want.
What they do need to do is fix the bugs with cloaking and nerf the Interlinks' effect on deployables. The essence of any infiltrator, even outside of Planetside, it to be able to bypass the standard deffences used against regular infantry. This inevitably leads to the creation of non-standard deffences, IE: darklight. It should be the player's responsibilty to deffend against infiltrators, not the AI's.
Then again, what has sony ever done to help infiltrators? They just want to turn this into a vehicle's game outdoors and a grunt's game indoors, with no room for anything else it seems like.
