You need at least a gig of RAM to play PS smooth.

Yea, as they said...more ram would be better but for now you would be able to run Planetside with some lag and fps problems.

Also, PS looks kinda fugly on 800x600, the default setting is 1024/768 and all the windows are optimized for that setting. So on 800x600 the windows take up a very large portion of the screen.

you know the XP 2500+ is 333 mhz right? meaning that ram will ne like PC2700. unless you're into OC. if you happen to get a processor with an open multiplier (which I doubt, they don't make them anymore) you can lower the mulitplyer and make the bus 400 :D

i might also overclock my CPU and my Video Card, also i dont really care about graphics so i will keep my detail low, i think ill be able to get 20-30 fps with that, if not screw PS(no offense) there r other gr8 games i can play

i got the same setup except its intel and it got 1 gb of ram, the ram will really make the difference, the card is mroe than enough for PS, but your gonna need more ram, or else it gets laggy, right now i have no lag

btw, a good motherboard is the Abit NF7 and Epox 8RDA3+ rev 2

If you overclock the NF7 you go into hyperspeed.

A good video card and 512 meg of RAM will play it just fine.

depends, I have little problems on my Dual DDR 266 p4 2.4B with mX440 and had much less probs before my ti 4200 burned.

but I don't know how single channel DDR 2700 will perform.

Taht should run it fine, get more ram if you can't stand the way it will run, it should do fine with that rig. Anyway just recently i must have done some tinkering right becaue my FPS has not bottomed out below 10 for a while
