I normally render a single 800x600 frame of something in 3ds max in less than a second :lol:

3d s max is very fast, and the textures are not nearly as good as the ones in bryce, and its not my comp, its bryce, the textures are very advanced, say you make a shape and make it silvery, and there is another shape near it, the reflection will come out, also bryce has very high resolutions, its crazy, in bryce you can also make environments and terrain, bryce makes nicer looking stuff way easier, but 3dsmax is much easier to create and manipulate stuff, the abstract wallpapers you see with the real fancy textures are made in bryce, while the more generic textures are in 3dsmax

Always save stuff you make for other people and even for yourself as a .psd. That's my policy. That way, you can easily go back and fix a mistake or adjust something to someone's personal preference. But you probably already knew that. :p

umm, you need to use the lassoo tool, if you hold it down you can get a poly gonal lassoo or a magnetic lassoo, magnetic is easyiest but doesnt always work, try different ones out, then when moving it use the arrow with the * tool

Scan lines are those tiny little line you see on the background of your sig, they're from TV.

this is how I do em:

I made a 1x2 pixel pattern with 1 of the pixels black, so I just apply that to the other images.

Most peeps just create a new pattern using a like 3 x 10 block. Just zoom al the way in and fill in the first few things with the pencil tool. There are of course better variations. Then just edit > define pattern, then open the pic you want to put the scan lines in and just fill it with the pattern.

one way to do the scan lines with a mix of paint and windows photo editor is you cut the image up into 1 pixel high .bmps then you take windows photo editor and darken every other one, its not as good as a photoshop one, but it works lol

in my opinion i think flak has made better sigs than 1024, and 1024's new sigs are original and aesthetic, i just dont get them, props for trying something new
