My ex girlfriend suffered from panic attacks.
Was really crazy, we used to just chill and watch a film, and 1/2 way through, she'd spazz out and go crazy, ruined the night :(

My mother and brother both suffer from anxiety.....can be a very scary thing to witness......Any questions i'd be happy to reply if I can help. p.s. no going to the doctor is not by any means a cure. It can last a lifetime.

Never had it happen. I did nearly hyperventilate the first time I was shot at, but it passed. After I shit my pants. :D

Damn, lucky bastard. I've always wanted to be shot, not a fatal shot, just like in the leg or arm. Then people will feel sorry for me and I can knife the guy that shot me.

Who said it was a cure? Talk to your doctor Oni, they can help you by going through some breathing techniques, prescribing medications, or giving support. Many people are stuck with it for life but can get over it enough to be a fully functional and independant individual.

Dude don't be a fuckin dumbass. I realize you're probably dicking around and acting like a little kid, but I've seen gunshots and gunshot wounds and it's not nearly like it is in the movies.
Well, unless it's a .22 or 9-mil round. Then it's like a mosquito bite.

You guys dont know anything about me , so you wouldnt exactly know what kind of Soldier I would be would you? No , so dont make stupid remarks like that
Firefly
2004-01-26, 09:17 PM
You're right, I don't know what sort of MARINE you'd be (soldier is Army). But you're also wrong- on the internet, all we know is what we see. You have control over what we know and don't know, and believe it or not people judge you on everything you provide. It helps them get to know the You that you want to provide.
And so far, my "stupid remark" is completely on-target, based on what I know and what I see. Have a nice day.

(soldier is Army)
Well , I didnt know that soldier was only Army , so then wtf would you a Marine other than a Marine?
And yes you are correct about how you judge someone on what they say over the internet
Firefly
2004-01-26, 09:21 PM
so then wtf would you a Marine other than a Marine?
There's a verb in there somewhere dying to come out. I can't answer your question until I know what it is.

Well, unless it's a .22 or 9-mil round. Then it's like a mosquito bite.
My point exactly. I was arguing with some kid today about a cell phone that can shoot .22 cal bullets and I said it probably wouldn't do much damage. Of course, he said 'yeah but if you shoot someone in the HEAD'. I just laughed and walked away.

You might, if you were a Marine or someone respectable, call him a Devil-Dog. But in terms of each branch's "specialty", they are:
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines. And Coast Guard swabbies. :D

MAYBE if the .22 was like five inches long and had a special nuclear warhead that would impact. And since it's coming out of a cellphone, then there are two things wrong with this kid's "argument"
One- it won't be accurate enough to hit anyone in the head, unless you fire it point-blank, and then results may vary. Perhaps if you shot an assailant straight in the eye, I might be willing to give it a chance.
Two- the round coming out of the cellphone, if such a thing does exist outside of James Bond, is small enough to do about as much damage as might piss off a sewer rat or a badger.
I've heard stories of .22 rounds that hit someone in the head. They broke the skin, went under it, impacted the skull, and rimmed around the back of the head (leaving a sick-looking welt) and came out the other side. Cause for stitches, a severe headache, and a beating from the person's next of kin for nearly winning the Darwin award.

I'm not sure what part of SOLDIERS Sailors Airmen and MARINES you didn't quite grasp. When you understand that SOLDIERS applies to the Army and MARINES apply to the Marines, then we can discuss this further. I had thought I had said this, and I thought it was fairly clear, but apparently it wasn't.
