I woke up at 6 this morning and found I didnt have to go to school today cause of the snow... only problem is that each day it snows I have 1 more day added to the school year in June cause of the teacher's strike... crap... anybdy else have off cause of snow?

The military shuts its bases down when they get snowed on, except for places like Fort Drum and the Alaska bases.

The reason for this is because not everyone is from a snow-covered area, and thus don't know how to drive on snow and ice. Although I have seen people from Hawai'i handle driving on snow/ice better than a lot of the Marylanders here in this shitheap of a state.

We got a foot and a half of snow yesterday. Unfortunately since I live in Fargo ND we are prepared for even more snow in an even shorter period of time so the roads were clear and thus life goes on as normal :p

we got about 6 inches of snow and there's about an inch of ice on top of that..

or maybe its 5 snow / 1 inch...who knows, but we got off so thats cool :)
