What would the new expansion be.........
CC is was a pretty good expansion imo, but with one step comes another step, so the questions now are when and where are the next steps. I hope PlanetSide hasn't reached a plateau, that would break my heart ( even though my heart is already broken by my ex-girlfriend :flamemad: ) but really what would the new expansion be like? EQ and Dark age of camlot get expansions weekly almost :mad: , And i want my PS expansion NOW!!!!! please feel free to talk about ideas for the new expansion. Heres a idea to get the ball rollin'. How about PlanetSide: Station Combat :cool2:

no expansion before the game is stable! grr when will people understand that more features = more bugs, I just want my game fixed before we deal with any expansions

Meh, id sooner have them fix bugs and add a couple things in game for free before I spend 30 some $'s on a new expansion.

The next expansion better have a real apc with a turret, like a bradley!
give it catapillar or anti-grav tracks i don't care, i just want it to be a troop carrying lightening-like.
Oh and make the map bigger so I can see all those foot sloggers SUFFER! :twisted:

make the map bigger? I reaaaaaaaly doudt that will happen, I mean I sometimes have trouble picking up a fire fight as it is.

Space combat is likely, I think that Smoke said at one point that the orbital stations were already in the game.

The moons that appear in the skydome would be interesting for an expansion - you're got land to fight over, but the rules of physics are all different, and the weapons can be redesigned for the environment.

I'm all for a naval expansion, as long as it doesn't turn into an FPS version of Harpoon.

I'm sort of against them adding more areas to the game when the population is as it is now. I'd rather they just focus on adding new vehicles/weapons/etc for the next couple expansions. Add cool stuff to bolster the player base, then add new areas to fight in (like space or naval stuff).

I'd like to see some revamped facilities along with the Continental Dominion system. It would be neat if they added some compounds or something that feature light vehicle terminals, but require an AMS to be used as a spawn point. Anything, really, to spice up surface combat beyond the current base types....

I would be willing to pay for an expansion if they made all new buildings and bases that included bunkers that rocked. As for new ideas, I would of course want to go the Underwater or Space route

more communication...for example...have outfit commanders assign orders to troops, and have cr5s assign orders to platoons or something, or have a thing were it shows all the current platoons and squads and where theyre operating

My game is very stable, ecept when i acidentaly kick my tower, or i forget to turn up my CPU fan

It would be cool to have a Wepon/Vehicle pack with lots of new vechs, wepons, vech/wepon addons

Naval and space = teh win

this game came out too early for it's own good. hardware isn't advanced enough in most cases. CC made it worse by adding more animations. to me it seems the right thing to work on now is mainly improving gameplay without adding weapons and veichles. like the capitol idea. things like this can make the game better. I find the best battles are when you reach a "stuck" situation where 2 or 3 empires are getting nowhere fast, each with a full zerg. when they finish that they can try to make CC better as well. the reason for CC being second is easy, less people have it. bug fixes come all the time anyway, and in a constantly updating game, it's understandable.

Or some that are islands (like a castle in the middle of a lake)

Wow...I know a Batousai from FFXI...if it's the same guy..this is Heilig, master of shiny crystals...

Anywho, I was discussing with some of my CDL buddies that a space expansion with Orbital Platforms. These things would be fortresses, requiring either lots of pounding or brilliant tactics to get into one. Once inside, there are a number of destryable substations inside. These can be destroyed with explosive weaps/boomers, but they take a helluva beating. The twist, is that the substations power certain things on the ground, ala CR abilities and radar. The whole purpose here is to find something that will give people a huge incentive to fight (defend your platform and cripple opposing empires) on the platforms.
