If you've been online gaming for awhile you know that sometimes small packets of information get delayed or never show up at all on your computer. In PS there are often times you won't recieve a kill notification for a minute or so. Sometime it can lead to some humourous or WTF moments.

Like when your just standing around with some team mates around the equipment terminal indoors and Bam! sniper shot threw the skull and you drop like a fly. Never mind the fact that the battle was over 5 minute ago. Or how about getting in your Lightning and drive around kicking ass, drive out in the middle of nowhere and jump out so you can hack a tower and Bam! Bam! Bam! Reaver rocket spam from a Reaver that must have killed you 5 minutes ago and you curl up dead next to your Lightning that for some reason remains intact and you are able to retrieve it after you respawn at a nearby tower. I've had both of these happen to me and at the time it was like WTF! :) How often does this happen for the rest of you?

I like the one where I am running around somewhere and suddenly begin to take damage for no apparent reason. My life is slowly bled out of me as I run around trying vainly to counteract this heinous and slow extraction of my health. Panic sets in as I realize I am dying and it is inevitable. I usually end up in the fetal position under my desk by the time it stops.

That has happened to me gunning a tank before. We were even sitting at the ammo dump in a base so we wouldnt lose the tank. Finally we just had to scrap the tank and get a new one

I frequently am in a Burster MAX and start taking damage that has no source, then I find myself dead to a Reaver.

Nope never experienced that.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, I remember a time not too long ago when i "thought" I dodged some reaver missles and watched him fly away, then I started walking towards and base and just died from reaver missles outta nowhere.

I suggest looking into your ISP, because a 5-minute lag is REALLY bad. I don't think that has every happened to me.

Typically my connection is quite good with very little packet loss. I did, however, experience this twice a few months ago, with both deaths due to a Phoenix. First time I was milling around with some outfit mates until I drop dead. Everyone thought it was a the opening sign of a TK fest, and it was only until we all died that we realized I had been hit by a Phoenix that actually hit me a long time ago.

The other time I died was when I was cruising over a friendly base in a loaded Liberator. No enemies in sight, then *Bam!* and I died. Liberator promptly crashes, blowing up right in the middle of the base. *Sigh* Good times.

I had 5 min lag when i had 56k in zergs, that sucked, recently i have been getting large downstream pingspikes that cuass me to drop FPS like mad, but the lag anf framelag seem to match up perfectly.

There is also something called 'ghosting' where you appear elsewhere to other people and can be killed there, even though you are actually elsewhere.
