Does it really matter? I mean... your not going to be getting up after the last one... and besides, it's not ment for large groups, only the 6,000 rpm is, the other ones are just too damn fast.

The 36 barrel gun has the bullets lined up in each barrel. There is no magazine. You have (for example) six bullets in the barrel that look like this:

There is no way a gun firing that fast will actually make 1 million rounds per minute- it will go through its ammunition capacity too fast. That's the projected rate if it had unlimited ammo.

SDM, I don't think the gun has any point, just showing off a new idea in gun design.

A scaled-up version could replace the "Goalkeeper" minigun system on carriers that shoots down missiles. This much lead in the air would blow up any missile coming at the ship. Of course, the gun you are seeing fires 9mm pistol. We need a bigger cartridge.
