Let me start off by saying that I am not a redneck. Neither of my parents were born in the United States and I was born in Detroit. I currently reside in Florida (which is more like the American Carribbean than the South).

Please note that these are in the possession of my dad, as I am clearly not of age to own firearms. These are legal, pre-ban weapons with all identification, we didn't download these off of Kazaa or anything.

godsakes, i feel like such a jerk on these forums, but please, people, get your facts straight FIRST!

you can own and operate weapons with supressors ("silencers"), fully automatic weapons, even streetsweeper shotguns as a civilian, just like all of you (except, i guess, most of you aren't old enough).

what: it's called a class III firearms license.

why: the weapons ban of 1992... turns out it didn't ban anything at all. sorry folks.

how: the class III license is really only an additional tax you pay to own these special items, requiring an endorsing signature by a sworn law enforcement agent/officer.

The higher the rockwell hardness, the more brittle it is. PERIOD.
Find a sword over $3000, and I'll guarantee it's been folded by a blacksmith, is UNHARDEND, and would shatter a 440stainless blade on impact. :lol:
He's right about keeping an edge though. A sword made from something like CPM9V would stay sharp for damn near forever.

i agree that 440 is too brittle for a sword you intend to fight with, but i think it's a good choice for wall decor for its resistant properties. if you're looking for a defensive weapon, always remember that lead > steel

Also not reccomended if you are going into battle against actual Samurai, Ninja, Evil Robots, or the Death Fuckin' Star.

Edit: If you drop the sword. Worry about your toes, not the sword.
