question about points

I have a question concerning point accumulation. I noticed, when entering and taking over a base, a large point total of 1000 points or more may occur. While on other instances, I only received 20-30 points. Also, I have defended a base with a MAX AA and taken down enemy reavers but received no points after moving on to other enemy bases. Do I need to remain inside the hacked base until it switches over in order to receive maximum BEP. :confused:

Thats one of the things that should be concerned because thats why all the losers go on the winners side to get BEP and CEP. Its impossible to get CEP without the base getting hacked if its a ghos hack you will rehack it under 3 minutes if its a real hack its probably for good since CC is the last place to go down.

Getting points depends on the number of enemies in the SOI during and just before the base is hacked. From what I understand every 5 seconds or something to that effect it keeps track of how many enemies are in the SOI at a given time. When the base has successfully been hacked, you recieve BEP/CEP depending on how many enemies were in the SOI before and during the hack. Also, if no enemies are currently present in the SOI, and there is still, say, 5 minutes left in the hack, you can leave and you will still get XP depending on how many enemies were in the SOI when you were present. I hate following the zerg, but usually I tend the get the greatest amount of XP, especially when it's zerg vs zerg, and we captured the enemy facility. It's also nice when the nearby tower is located inside the base SOI. Then I keep getting credit for being in the SOI when x enemies are present, since they keep spawning at the tower, and get upwards of 3k BEP.
