I had read that the devs were considering giving everyone the ability to use a basic vehicle like a cycle so that travel time was reduced.
I have yet to see the devs comment further on this - anyone have any news?

I don't think that you are given a free vehicle at start. You have the use of your starting certs to decide on whether or not you want to use it for a vehicle. I suggest you do, or make a friend that used his certs for a vehicle...so he can pick you up for the fight.

You can easily get to battle rank three just by doing all of the training exercises provided (which also clues you in on everything you need to know to play). That would bring you up to four certifications (two initial certs, plus one for each rank after Battle Rank One).
Four certs will easily get you an armor and a vehicle cert, or a weapon and a vehicle, or whatever you wish.

No vehicle is given "for free" except for one non-combat vehicle which hasn't been revealed yet...but will be soon.

My guess is it will be an unarmed baslisk that cant cloak. Would make it a weak, unarmed vehicle that cant take much damage and has nothing over other vehicles.

I read more on those 2 too now, i hadnt found info on them tell just yesterday.. well, Im think9ing it will still be something along those lines, though those will be fairly easy to acquire there anyways..

I think we're on the right lines there, but I heard Tony Hawk has the rights, and it's gonna be a GIANT skateboard that seats 2 ppl, and u use paddles to push ur self along, like a gondola on wheels!
