SiS ASUS A7S333
Athlon Thoroughbred 2400+ (@2Ghz)
1024 PC2700 Crucial DDR RAM
ATi Radeon Saphire 9600XT 128MB (fireblade memory) - OverDrive Enabled. Catalyst 4.1
30GB Matrox 7200 HDD
Windows XP

I cant seem to find the option to kill anti aliasing or antistopic filtering. They are both set to automatic. Not only that, but I cant seem to turn down the grapics quality down as far as I used to be able to with my Geforce 4 MX. In normal situations the frame rate is higher, but in a zerg, i get WORSE performance with my radeon.

I've never had a radeon card before. Any tips, suggestions, or anthing?

AA should be on application controled / automatic. Your useing the options in the PS vidoen options right? Your a little unclear

My specs are about the same and i have great perfomance, turning off overdrive could help and manually setting AA and AF off could help as well, Rob time for siggy?

No, I talking about the card's options (right click destop/ advanced)

I cant find the option to switch off AA and AS filtering. They are all automatic, and the lowest maunal setting is 2x

Automatic is application preference :)

I would suggest just leaving them to application preference and then in game make sure your toned down. Just bc it says app pref doesn't mean they are on.

No adv video options enabled. Turn flora off, biggest killer for me. Then play with the rest to see what works well for you.

You using the ATi Detonators? I dont think that option is accessible for some reason. Use the Omega drivers and it's under one of the tabs. When I get home Ill find out which one for ya.

I got an AMD Athlon XP 3000+, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256 Mb, and 1Gb of RAM, and I get real good performence in PlanetSide with everything maxed out.

Only trouble is that I get CTD's constantly...

"Only trouble is that I get CTD's constantly..."

Check your memory. I used to get that, ran goldmem, and found out one of my dimms were faulty. I got it repalced and no longer ctd.

By the way, I already have everything in high performance, and in game everything on low. As you can guess, I'm a little annoyed at such piss poor performance.

Dammit, I need a diskette drive for that program to work...

I'll go get the one I borrowed to a friend.
