Bad install CD

I tried to install PS with my cd and disk 2 is bad (data3.cad). My download from fileplanet is bad too. Anyone know the download link for the file patcher?

The "file patcher" is the actual launch pad for planetside. It is included in the installation files. Unfortunately you cannot just obtain the launch pad. All I can suggest is borrowing a buddies disks, or re-downloading.

grrrr.... I've tried to re-downloading from fileplanet 4 times! The live file is screwed up :(

Are you able to log into the LaunchPad (patcher) at all? If so, just click Full Scan and it will find the problem.

If not, we'll try something else.

I don't remember seeing the launchpad in the files it did extract. I'll have to check again.

I'm going to try and open the cad file manually and pull out all the undamaged stuff.

try this... download the launchpad from SOE and see if you can make it work for Planetside:

aight, let me know how it goes.

If it doesn't work, try this next time:

Create a short cut on your desktop of the launcher from the launchpad directory (not the planetside directory), and then change the target to:

"C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launcher.exe" /game:planetside"
