My Love Hate Relationship with the rexo buff...

I have 2 characters, MajorTom, my grunt, and Groundcontrol, my infiltrator.

While playing my grunt, I couldn't get over the added protection that the new rexo buff offers. With my BANK along for the ride my lifespan went up ten-fold. I loved it and I think it compensates for the lack of foot speed. On several seperate occasions a surgile whould come up at lightning speed, shoot their disco balls of death or whatever the case may be, and I would still come out on top. DEATH TO SURGILES!!

Now, on to the hate, my infiltrator has to use boomers to kill reinforced soldiers reliably now. Not a big fan of that. I unloaded 4 shots from my magscatter into a reinforced guy at almost zero range. The guy didn't move, he just slowly turnedf and put me down. Kinda upsets me, think I will probably shelf my cloacker now, but the death to surgiles makes up for it in my book.

What do you guys think about it?

Like it because now it's worth 3 certs.

Hate it because now EVERYONE has it, and I hate the speed.

Rexo is great, alsways used it and now it just go better.

I'm sure that it still takes 3 mag scatter shots to kill a rexo...if all the pellets hit. And if ya miss that's really tough luck, no love for the cloaker.

All the pellets never hit unless you are so close that all you can see is the guys armor, bassically, they never all hit.

I am going to give the AMP a shot, but if that has the same kill time for rexo, I am turning my cloaker into something else, just not sure what...

I know i would love it,
but this new patch, the Ut2k3 i got, or a combination of both have totaly bijorked PS, it freezes on teh connecting screen right when the game goes full screen and have the SOE, then Teen, then Way its meant to be played things. I tryed reinstalling the whole thing but to no avail

amp = crap against rexo after buff unless they are already wounded. trust me *cringes* I'm still having nightmares. I just give up whenever I see a rexo out in the open unless i have a magscatter or some aces.
After this buff every1 and their mother has rexo. Even worse, every1 and their mother has either darklight or audio amp. infiltrators have been indirectly nerfed though when the ammo patch comes infiltrators will be indirectly buffed by the increase in the ammount of grenades one can carry

Hmmm, true, I forgot about that... I guess I will halt my unlearning campaign until after the ammo buff to see if my grenade infiltrator is any better...

What about using a beamers secondary mode until you've taken all the armor, and then switch and shoot normal mode?

I guess the beamer sucks anyways :P

Dont worry, the AMP can kill a rexo no sweat. I killed a guy jumping out of an AMS today with it (I wasnt a cloaker) took a little bit but I got him.

Rexo doesn't have that appeal that it did before when the ratio of users was 1:10.
