On some games, I just can't run the movies well. DXIW, Morrowind, etc. It'll go fairly laggy and occasionally go perfectly but there's no sound, or sometimes just not do anything for a couple seconds. It just really pisses me off, how do I fix this?
My Video card: Nvidia GeForce 4 4400
My (ancient) Sound card: Creative Soundblaster Live! Value
My memory: 256 megs

Hmmm, get as many codecs as you can, and it may be the mixture of low RAM and bad vid card. I have a soundblaster Live too and have no problems

The Tech forum is were these posts need to go. Your not even a noob.
256 megs of memory is just enough to run Win XP you need more memory
What is up with all the missplaced threads lately?

How much space do you have left on your HDD? Happened to me and when I cleared some space it worked fine.

yeah thats not the speed buddy, AMD Athlon helps about as much as saying, over a Car trouble shooting hotline when asked "What type of automobile is it?" and you answer "It's a car."

If so, it's not there.

Oh my god. Rbstr, come here and protect me from him. Anyways, it should be in your BIOS unless that has been disabled by your manufacturer. If it is, just go to Start > Run and type in "dxdiag". Without the quotation marks of course.

God, that's below the recommended processor speed fro MW. Get a new processor, get more RAM. Perhaps a new graphics card, just listen to see what Rbstr says.

I try not to ever recomend something that will be very pricy but your computer is severly out of date and it high time to send it on its way to the land of only 0's (getit?), or give it to a sister that only ever uses the computer for Aim.
I would strongly recomend you get yourself a new computer(or most of one) you probably don't need a case, or CD-ROM/Floppy, soundcard or even a hard drive(though that would be recomended) You could probably get a decent PSU, Mobo, CPU, Vidcard, and ram for 500-700.
If you can't do that right now, you can tide yourself for a while with some more ram, as you kind will be very inexpensive, and figure out your CPU socket and get yourself a new P3 for it, as that will be inexpensive aswell

send it on its way to the land of only 0's (getit?),
If you're speaking of binary, don't you mean 1's and 0's?
