Did anybody else notice a change in surge in this patch? It wasn't mentioned, but my infil is significantly slower while using surge, to the point of it not being a worthwhile implant. Have the devs addressed this?

there was a slight prob when the patch was on the PTS (Public Test Server) it was when you used surge no stamina decreased, so maybe something was wrongly changed with the infil ssurge, really, idk

Could it be another bug affecting cloakers? :ugh:

I saw a surgile Sweeper guy warp in such an amazingly comical way, and so lightning quickly, that I thought if this game was a pinball machine, it would be saying TILT.

Somehow I wouldn't be suprised if this only affected infils...

It was to the point that out in the open, going from base to base and using surge I honestly could notice only a minimal difference if I was paying close attention. At first I thought that it wasn't working at all, but after looking at it closely I just realized it was barely speeding me up at all.
is there any lag with small battles / zerg battles on your system (its top of the line, right) ?

It's not top of the line, but when I noticed it was when I was literally alone in the middle of nowhere running between 2 bases. I was getting ~130 fps at the time.

I havent noticed any change on my infil. I spent about 30 min loading up my locker full of Spikers so I was surging from base to warpgate a lot (cant stay matrixed at an AMS if you leave the caverns but at least you can deconstruct at it and use the base matrix to save some time) It seemed fine to me

I noticed a return of the surgile warp. Saw a few times over the past few days. And it's a really bizzare type of warp, they seem to come at you lightning fast, bunny hop, disappear into the ceiling, then while your looking (bam) your dead.

I haven't really seen any difference. Except there was this guy in Reinforced who was moving as fast as somebody with Agile would, but I think that was an isolated incident. I think the game would be a lot better if Surge was just removed.

They ought to just change surge to an ULTRA fast boost to movement speed, same stamina drain as now, but make your weapons be offline. Kinda like a MAXs run mode. That way it will be good for travel and avoiding fire while closing in on a base, but not good for kicking butt and warping around.
Quite frankly, I use surge now (as a reinforced guy) and I would continue to use it if it where changed in this fashion.
What do ya think?

That's a pretty good idea too. Surgile ruins Planetside.

Yeah, I figure if you changed it to that it would still serve a combat function, allowing you to get from one peice of cover to another at fast speed to avoid fire/detection, and it would also provide a jerry-riged means of transportation. I am thinking about posting it on the OF, but just the thought of going to the OF makes me ill.
I'm against the whole ultra fast surge thing, since entire categories of weapons that depend on there existing a distance between you and your opponent would be marginalized even more than they are now.
