Hi everybody, I'm new to these forums, will try not to act like a complete newbie. I got a few questions, as you can see from the topic.
#1- Could a medium armor pilot a Skeeter?

#2- Can a Newcon use a Vanu gun? Or vice-versa? This seemed true due to some screens where a New Conglomerate is holding a Beamer.

#3- Can Medium armors fit into any Tanks like the Vanguard, Lightning, Harasser, or Basilisk?

You can use other people's weapons if you pick them up off their body I believe... mediums can pilot ships can't they?

Also, would there be a way to turn Mercenary? That would be sweet. A shady little outfit with some battered vehicles and aircraft from all 3 factions.

Thats an old screenshot :D I believe the armor section has been updated after SJ posted some info on armor and vehicles that they can drive. Check out the armor page.

1. No

2. Yes (but you have to take it from a dead vanu)

3 Rule for vehicle piloting is that if it has an open cockpit a reinforced can pilot it. If it has a closed cockpit a reinforced can't pilot it.

#5- What aircraft are there besides skeeter and galaxy, if any?

#6- Can aircraft cross go between continents without warp gates?

#7- What, in your opinion, is the best weapon?

I like the Guass (sp?) rifle. That's awesome. Magnetic force-field propelling bullets at hypersonic speeds. It's awesome in a lot of games, StarCraft, MechWarrior-Battletech. In StarCraft they fired metal "spikes." :sniper:

7. hmmm...not enough info yet. I think for general use the Punisher looks good, good range, good damage and can be used in most situations. It might be TOO good IMHO and might get nerfed before release.

I'm hoping the Pulsar (the VS laser rifle) will fire Armor Piercing as it's alt fire like the Beamer (VS pistol) does.

I'm hoping that all the weapons will have advantages and dis-advanatges or work better in one situation over another. Otherwise every will be running around with the same load-outs and it would get kinda boring.

I think all the Vanu weapons gradually do damage over time. In Gamespot video #12, the person recording the video get his(and i dont think it was the max) and keeps taking damage after he retreated. When he ran back out, there was a Vanu with Pulsar shooting at them. That's kinda cool, if I'm right. :D

It's also an old picture. And it could be a Reinforced simply standing by the Mosquito.

That's what they'd fire in PS also. When you're using electromagnetism to propel a projectile, the only requirements are that the projectile be aerodynamic, and be metal. So, yeah, what Gauss weapons would fire would be very similar to a bullet minus the casing.

Yea that screenshot is mad old, for all we know in the early days a MAX could pilot a mosquito. :D

I think the guy in the video got hit by a plasma grenade as I think that is the only DoT weapon in the game.

I am fond of the bold driver, but both the punisher and suppresser are cool. Of course for looks and lasers Vanu weapons own all, and you only have to carry one ammo type.
