What has come out since the P4C800E. Is There anything considerably better out now for the 478 and the 875chipset?

Edit: ive just noticed something. How does the regular P4C800 deluxe have raid 1/0/0+1 and two SATAs that support raid? it has one ultradma100 IDE and two 133s. Can you mix regualre IDE drives and SATA in a raid?

How do these compare to the P4C800E?

Whats the DPS slot for on the gigabyte boards. the secondary bios? What are they using them for. Are they just for backup if your first bios gets creamed for some reason or for somehting like secondary OS? Oh, wait, is that there equivilent to Hyperthreading? Can you put something on it to use Intels hyperthreading tech or must you use the one they have on this or any board?

And whats with the ISA? Networking and workstation type stuff? Or are they reintroducing it for some reason?

Nothing, The p4mobos are in thiers last generation there as good as they are gona get, untill the LGA755 mobo's come out(PCI-Ex, presscot 755, quad onboard SATA with raid 0 +1 and a whole hsot of other goodies)

Get the P4C800-E Deluxe its the best mobo out there.

Its the exact same as mine + 875 chipset

The way the raid works is it has intells 2 standard SATA(one channel SATA = one drive) that can do a 0, or a 1

And a second controller for ATA-133 raid with 2 chanels (two channel of ATA-133 = 4 drives, two per channel) that can do 0, 1, and 0 +1

The gigabyte DSP or whatever slot is for power conditioning of some sort.
teh daul bios is so you could say load teh OCed bios if you were gona game, or the regular one if you were gona type a report.

do a google on HT and technical things it takes too long to type

its been a long time scence i've seen ISA slots, my first comp had a few but all of our cards and things were in teh PCi ones so i assum ISA was on the way out then
