View Full Version : I've got a problem, will this fix it?

When I leave the sanc to go to another continent, it typically takes like 5 minutes to load, and a good chunk of the time, in the middle of the load it says "You have left the world" and my comp freezes, so I have to restart. I have a 650 processor, it's an AMD Thunderbird, made in early 2000, I think. Great in its time, but it's a World War II vet in the Gulf War, now. So I'm getting a new motherboard, made in late 2003, it's processor is like 4 times as fast as my old one, will this help with the problems I'm having?


I also don't play with the CD in, would this have any effect on it?

It will probably help alot!

And you don't need to have the CD in for this game.

Whew. Thx a lot, don't wanna be buying a $150 piece of equipment if it won't help me out.

You were running the game on a 650?!?!?!?! The recommended specs were 3 times that, and that was before they started adding lag with CC and the server merge.

I upgraded from my old amd 1600+ with a gf2 mx, and 256 ram....did exactly what u are talking about...then got my new pc amd 2500+ 512 mb (pc3200) ram and a gf fx 5600 SE and get about 35 - 60 fps in a nice size zerg, plus it takes about 5-10 seconds to load, and never leaves the world like my old pc

happens to me alot, people say i need more ram (i have 384) the min is 512.

Yeah i ran this game on a 800 pentium 3 ran crazy slow when i switched to a 3,06 way faster.

No, the minimum RAM is 256.

With six hundred and fifty gigahertz, I would FLY around the game. Now megahertz, of course, are a different story :) . And yes, I'm a nazi :evil: .
