I'm afraid so!

That or it could be a fan going Tango Uniform. Check that.

If it's a HDD (the only other moving part that can really make sound) then start backing up now :)

A hammer is the only tool you need to silence a noisey comp.

Back anything you really want to save up as soon as you can. What kind of noise is it? Is it like a clicking noise or what?

Bleh my comp makes lots of fucked up noises... The worst is my brothers comp. He does alot of programming on it and every now and then it will just shut off, and u can see a tiny bit of smoke come out the back of it, and voila! The refreshing smell of melting computer chips fills the air.

i told him to get a new fan... he told me to stfu :P

Go get a Nano Dispenser from the nearest Equimpent Terminal and run it over a few times.

Sounds like me...

I just put a sound card in. The box is upright, so I have to squeeze this card into this tiny ass space between the network card and the video card. The video card cost me a nice chunk of money, so I'm trying not to touch it any more than necessary. One slip-up, and my new motherboard that I'm paying $150 bucks for is fucked up the ass. And I think I did fuck up... my CD-rom drive won't open. It's got the light on, but it won't open when I press the button.

Jesus, how the fuck am I supposed to explain this to my dad? I haven't even finished paying for the fucking thing and I've already broken it, because he thought I knew enough about computers to put a goddamn motherfucking sound card in. :sob:

You messed up puting a sound card in a slot?

flack open it up and turn it on ans look and see if anywires are hitting fans

Duck try making sure the CD roms is pluged in to the sound card right, and the PSU right, and the IDE channel right

Best way to fix your computer problems:

1. Get another computer. One that you don't care about.

2. Put it infront of your other computer.

3. Open the case and start tearing out parts as violently as possible

4. Say to your computer, "Do you see what I can do to you?! Do you?! Now work you bitch!"

It worked for me, and it can work for you too.
