Got my license in 1979 and my first car was a 1970 Maverick. Don't laugh! I ended up stuffing a 351 Cleveland in that thing - it ran like a scalded dog.

Manitou,

Some humble advice......

DON'T EVER FUCKING DATE YOUR ASS BY MENTIONING YEARS, CARS, TRENDS, PRESIDENTS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT CAN BE PLACED INTO ANOTHER DECADE! **wheeezzzzeeeee** AND FURTHERMORE, MAKE SURE YOU NEVER, EVER USE PHRASES LIKE "WELL BACK IN MY DAY", "IT USED TO BE", "I REMEMBER WHEN" OR ANYTING ELSE THE INSINUATES LONGER THAN 5 YEARS!!!!!

Ahem....

That way you won't ever have to suffer from the effects of "Mr.", "Sir", "Gramps", etc. :devilwink

Allright, as an older(or old gamer) at 38, I would like to respond to anyone who thinks that Manitou or anyone else is dating themselves....SO WHAT. Being young is nice and enjoy it while you can. But any 14-18 yr old who thinks they are more relevant is laughable. I myself have seen four continents, been to eleven countries, seen more cool concerts and sporting events then you ever have, had more girlfriends than you prolly ever will, gee i've prolly had sex with more girls on the hood of my car than you ever will lil virgin, been to university, severed briefly in the military, and met a wealth of interesting peeps. The list goes on. O.K. Not trying to flame, but it takes too long for teens to realize that they don;t know as much as they think they do. The smartest funniest guy i have ever spent time with was my Grandfather. BTW Manitou...I used to have a 73 Pinto once, and I almost hooked up with a Pacer once.

No current driving plans. I asked, my dad didn't want to. Since then both parents have decided to give me secret driving lessons in backroads and parking lots.

Skip the stealth driving, just let me take the course.

I'm gonna get my private pilot's license soon! Flying is much more fun than driving. You can control the yaw, the pitch, AND the roll! SCORE!

Flying is 133t

I got to fly a friend's cessna a couple times and it was such a blast . Was so nice just to get up and away from the everyday grind and chill .

You know when you're really stressed out, it's so sweet to just get in your car and drive and sing your lungs out to your favorite CD?

Flying is like that, only more stressful, and 10x more euphoric.

Also, not practical for getting to and from the grocery store (but that's what helicopters are for).

Also, not practical for getting to and from the grocery store (but that's what helicopters are for).I have spent too much time flying. I am not a pilot, but I have spent a lot of time in fixed wing aircraft as well as choppers. Always liked the choppers more, for some reason. But they always made us jump out of them. ;) I can say I trust military pilots much more than civilian ones, as long as they are American military. Other nationalities have a tendency to try to prove they are good - that always scared me! The best ride I ever had was nap of the earth in a UH-1. Wow, what a rush.

No i have no car nor will i probably have a car untill the end of the summer or if my parents have a suprise for me.

Older gamers are cool, they alwasy seem to understand tactics a bit more. My dad played TA alot, and he owned me alot too...

It'd be slack if your parents had no surprise for you. So they tell you to save up for one.

Heh lucky.
