Indeed. Thermaltake makes great cpu coolers. The volcano 12 does a better job at cooling then the spark 7, but they are both very good coolers :).
Edit: Spark 7 is quieter though.

the Volcano 12 is not a p4 cooler, so its hard to say.
They both have a fan controler don't they, yours should be the same volume as mine

Volcano 12 boasts 20+ more cfm all around and is a bit bigger

Yes, but I've heard ALOT of bad things about Thermaltakes reliability (Says he with a Xaser 2, and a TT Smartfan 2 on his heatsink  )
Get yourself one of THESE (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-109-114&depa=0) and stick a good 120mm fan on it.
Bucketloads of airflow and quietness to boot.

Volcano 12's are very reliable, and my stock fan sucks, so that heatsink wouldn't help as much as a new cpu fan.

uh... the volcano 12 is a HSF (Heatsink/Fan combo)
You need a fan for that other heatsink, but it's the best one for overclocking, unless you fancy water cooling.

Yes, I know it is a combo, which is why I said it would be a better choice. That heatsink is a total waste of money. You can buy a much nicer combo for like $50.

ive never heard anything about the Volcano 12 sucking, thermaltake make some good quality stuff for good prices, may not be the best but it better than stock crap

Personally, I like this cooler http://www.overclockercafe.com/Reviews/cooling/ThermalRight_SP-97/index.htm
Probably be my next cooler once I get a new case. Looking at the Antec Lanboy II

If you get a lanboy(very nice case) you need to take out the 2 120mm fans and replace them with Higher CFM ones, because they don't push enough air.
My friend just got one, thats the only thing he sasy he doesn't like

Just imagine a lanboy with 3 Vantec Tornado fans (2 case fans, and the cpu fan) running at full pelt!
Man, that would be shit loud, but computer would be cool.
