Basilisk as a combat vehicle

I have had ATV for a long time, and I never realized that it could be used for more than transportation. The Basilisk is an extreemly potent combat weapon. You just have to know how to use it right. Park yourself on the edge of a battle much like a sniper, and start shootiing at anyone you see in the distance. If you get attacked by something you can't handle, run. Its speed will save your ass more often then not. Another great thing about it is that enemies don't tend to think of you as a threat. Most people I start shooting at ignore me and don't try to find cover. They die quickly, because the Bassy's dual 12mm guns kill really fast. Range mag helps alot too, because the standard 12x zoom isint that great for "sniping".

I had ATV up untill the Recert, when i was able to pick up reave and lighting with those 2 points added in, i'm close ot br20 now and will hae 2 certs to spend when i hit it, and it either ATV back or Combat engy i can't decide

Well lightining does the job even better. I am going to try it out later today when the recerttimer allows me to forget my bassy. The bassy may still be my weapon of choice, though because most people don't view you as a threat, so you might live longer.

I remember I once saw a Bassy chasing (and killing) a magrider. I literally stopped and laughed. It was giving the mag a run for its money though.

LOL, I once saw a Basi drive off two Reavers at once :D . It was just strafing back and forth at full speed, and their rocket's were hitting a good 10m behind it. Then the Prowler shots started falling... :(

Yeah basi was great for AA back when the skygard wasn't around, and deent for chasing big things becsaue they can't hit you when your moving so fast

I dont know why people say it sucks, I think its a cloaker's best friend. The Wraith is useless, when you drive it you'll be seen and then you cant defend yourself any which way. My vanu char on Emerald that i jsut started, I'm using it and it pays off...course i was crossing hte bridge right when a bridge fight broke out and I died without delay, but still.


Once when i first got ps on like retail week, i didn't know jack shit and didn't know how hacking works. So i went around to random bases on cyssor and tryed hacking. Well on one base, the silo's were running on empty and I happened to notice a ANT and harrasser (no gunner) drive off towards a warpgate for NTUs.

I choose to not shoot them, but I followed about 100 meters behind. Once they were about at the warpgate, I drove into trees and a nearby hill a couple of meters off the road because the majority of ant drivers turn around to the direction they will come back and then fill the ANT up. I had a clear view of them, and they couldn't see me.

Then they started back. I ran to my Basilisk and again trailed them untill they reached the bridge. I said fuck going at 60%, time to hit the pedal bitch. So i caught up to them half way across the bridge and started shooting the harrasser (since it seem to be a bigger threat if the ant driver got out and went into the harasser). I blew him up in a jiffy since he could turn around. Then i got to ANT after i blew that *** up, it was harder because we were off the bridge and he could drive in circles and you know how sensitive the basilisk is. I blew him up too. It was the biggest victory for me in one. Yet since I was stupid and didn't thinkg of spawn tubes, I drove away from that base, it got refueled after that. :P~

I picked up ATV last weekend and was really impressed with the accuracy of the Basi's guns. Those things are like lazers, the only problem being that you can only hit infantry with one (very slow firing) gun.

Would a skeeter's 12mm be too much to ask for?
