Something that just irks me playing MMO games, well multi player period

When playing an MMO, or even say just a few rounds of CS or PS or DoD... nothing IRKS the shnit out of me, then unoriginal names.

Lets see, the top of the list are:

Literary Characters like Gandalf, or Polgara for magic users, Strider is the most annoyng rnager name in any fantasy game, period.

Or video game or movvie characters are also annoying as heck. Max Payne playing CS is a perfect example.

Hammer or any variation is also as lame as one can get. ;)

So please, make fun of people that use lame unoriginal names, they deserve it.

lol ya one of the names I play with online is Halbrad Its a derivative of an elf from the lord of the rings, just a blurb character, noone has ever gotten where it comes from. The origional name is Halbarad. The only problem with that name is that everyone calls me brad. . . . . . . . . .

I havn't seen any Gimlis or Aragorns. I have seen a couple Breunors though in RPGs, but the idiots that use the name don't even follow what he's suppposed to be. I mean, if you're going to use a name from a book or a movie, you have to make them just like that character as much as you can. Oh, and don't even mention the number of Drizzts I've seen.

The names I most commonly use are Derfud, and Svordjik. Usually Svordjik if I am playing an RPG, because it sounds like a norse name. Plus I created both myself. :D

I will sometimes base a name off a fantasy name but not very often. My 60 Shaman in EQ went through life as "Galarion" (which is due to piss poor foresight on my part since that naturally translates into "Gal" for short which caused untold amounts of confusion), a bastardized version of "Garion" from the Belgariad and the Mallorean. Not once did anyone know what it was based off of until I they asked and I told them. If you want to use a character from a major literary work, please please please mutilate it.


Oh I also had a Troll Shadowknight named "Shadarlogothin Dorfskamusher" but that was a very seldom played alt and really namiung him that was more for my own personal entertainment since having
"Shadarlogothin Dorfskamusher <Bloodsong>"
amused me and I knew that particular character was never really going to go anywhere.

I did see a "Drizzzt" on Lanys once while running through Shadowhaven. I wasn't really sure if I should yell at him, laugh at him, find him and beat him or possibly all of the above. He logged by the time I finally decided to just yell at him for awhile :(

Well, like I said before, if you're going to use a commonly known character name, make sure you play that character to fit the way the actual one would. For instance, if you make Drizzt in an RPG, make sure you're a Drow, wielding dual scimitars (one with electrical damage and one with something else) bracers of speed or something, white hair and pink eye, and own.

I hate it when I get random /tell's from people asking me if I am on Midgaard or Ragnorock. While I know what these places mean in a literary sense, I have no idea where they're from in a MMORPG world.

"AztecWarrior" is an uncommon name. I've Yahoo!'d it and found some guy's web page. "AztecWarrior" on AIM is taken- and it's the only service where it was taken. In B.net, PlanetSide, and others this name is unique- and mine.

There are but three phonies:
1: I do not have a web page. Some "Aztec Warrior" does.
2: My AIM handle is "AztecWarrior045". "AztecWarrior" is someone with a pink profile.
3: I do not collect lightbulbs. :D

In flight sims I go by "KrazyIvan" and in racing games (I don't play any anymore) I go by SilverBullitt. That's all, folks.

Drizzt does not have pink eye. Pink eye is a medical condition. Drizzt also does not have pink colored eyes. Drizzt has lavendar eyes known more commonly as the color purple.

I'm not sure weather my name is original or not. I based it on Ein from cowboy bebop, added a "bebop" at the end, and put in an extra "e" because I cant fsking spell. I guess if you look at it mechanicaly, it isn't very original. But Im so freaking l33t that nobody cares.
