What were some of your most annoying moments while playing a game, and if you really had a bad experience, what were the results?

I'll start this off: This X-mas break, me and a few buddies went up North to my friend's cottage for a week and a half. Well, there was a huge snowstorm, and we were basically locked inside for most of the week and a half there. We had no cable, so we played ALOT of games. Well, we each took turns working on FF7 (all we had was a PS1 and a couple of bad games besides FF7) and we had a combined 20 hours of gameplay, and we were very far into the game. Well, one of my friends was playing and he is kind of dumb, to put it lightly. So, we were all just talking and not really paying attention, and he was saving....and like the moron he is, saved over our saved file. I swear to you we all grabbed something between the 7 of us and chucked it at the wall (luckily it was already fucked): 2 controllers, somebody grabbed the PS, another threw a small suitcase (full), and I can't remember about the other people.

Yes we had alot of rage, and you would to if you were locked inside a cottage with nothing to do besides play PS.

Anyways, what were some of your most annoying moments?

Simply put Air Dell=Game crashing in the middle of a great fight on Ishundar and having the computer on the second floor or higher. After numerous crashes.

When I get pissed in tennis I hit my racket on the ground. It's now misshaped (but still useable).

In electronic games I usually just hit my desk.

I was very very far into Armored Core 2, and was playing on my friends save for a little change of pace, and to help him out. Well you know how it gets when you save, you remember which slot it was. Mine was slot 2. So like always I get into the save menu and without thinking I go down to slot 2 real quick and hit save, realizing I wasn't on my file :(. I never did finish that game after that.

Well I get angry with meh planes all the time. Sometimes when something wont go back into the plane I just leave it on the ground and hope no one notices. :groovy:

It makes me feel safe to know that airplane mechanics like peacemaker are working on the planes that I fly in from time to time.

hardware smashing moments. . . . Americas Army TWL match my computer had been iffy. IT crashed just as I was about to win the match, my mouse (which I tend to grip tightly during games) met my wall, it broke into about 30 or 40 pieces.

and playing PS get blue screen of death during a battle on amerish about 10 seconds before what was a 5k bep hack (back when thay had those) I hit my keyboard so hard, it cracked in half.

I will never forget the time in starcraft when, on the cusp of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat with a massive and decisive nuke, the program CTD'd. I never win RTS games online. I haven't played Starcraft, or any rts game, online since then.

Back not too long after FF3 came out I was at a friends house with my copy. I literally had one thing left to do, go finish off Kefka. Everything else was done. Hell, I even took the time to get Strago all of his spells and Gau all of his rages.

My friend's mother ran a daycare there that I went to in gradeschool (how we met actually) and she had a rule about the gaming systems, at least while the kids were still there. Basically that rule was share. So since FF3, like most RPGs, isn't really a game you can stop immediately after 15 or 30 min we hid the game on the highest shelf in the living room and headed outside to play catch until the kids were picked up.

After the kids left we went back in to mess around, maybe do some leveling or just finish off Kefka. The game wasn't there. So we start looking. We head into the TV room and sure enough, there's my copy sitting in the SNES. Fear crept into my heart and unfortunately that fear was justified. I turn the game on and in place of my save slot, is a brand new game.

It took years before I finally worked up the urge to play the whole game through again (if I remember right I just finally got around to completing it for the first time a year or so ago) and I doubt I'll ever get the same level of completion done >_<

I hated that mission, hated that mission so god damned much. Then a friend asked me why the hell I was trying to do it in the rain, because that's a really goddamned stupid thing to do. I guess I just figured the rain was part of the mission. After failing more in the rain more times than I care to think about, I finally waitied till it was sunny out and tried it. Beat it on the first try >_<

Makes the roads a really big pain in the ass to drive on at high speeds, or rather it makes taking tight corners almost impossible at high speeds. It's doubly bitchy because your compter opponent seems to be totally unaffected by it.

In the PC version, atleast on my friends, every time, the guy would fall through the world, andy ou could beat the race every time, but right after I beat it , it would CTD, :/

heh, you just place a fast car a few blocks ahead of where the race starts. Or you can park shit in the middle of the street to block the guy.

When I first got my Nintendo 64, Super Mario 64 pissed me off so much that I broke the only controller we had into tiny little pieces. I wasn't allowed to touch the next controller for fear of it breaking. I don't play any console games anymore because my little brother is on. He's insane. He gets mad and yells at the games constantly, and squeezes the hell out of the controllers until there's cracks decorating the whole damn thing.
