Ok. Get a program such as Ares that will gather almost every media file on your computer together, windows sounds, everything. It gathers planetside tracks. THere are 3 that intrigued me- NC Orbital Platform, TR Orbitol PLatform, and VS Orbitol Platform. Dont flame me if this has already been found or the dev's have already discredited it, but try it out for yourself.

no i think there is WAY too much combat space...even more with core combat
the space thing should be a small update that brings the orbital platforms back
and possibly if there is going to be space combat i think there should only be 9 places to go
they should all be slow and they should all for for the sheild generator for the capitol buildings (one on each continent)
so ten small buildings which supply the sheild for the soon to come capitol buildings
but if they were huge vast space bases i wouldnt bother...it would be worse than core combat...no one would use them

That expansion would be shit and unpopulated like cc! cc was a great game during beta, shame we dont have the players down there now :o( They sould work on what we all love which is the current enviroment, maybe the citys we all want

believe it or not, orbital platforms are already coded and ready for action. (of course, they'd have to be revised seeing as how their code was done before release back in May.)

They just took them out before beta for some unknown reason.

Yeah, they should revise the code because the old code might not negatively impact FPS and I'm sure they'd like to stay consistent.

Captain Obvious to the rescue! The music couldn't be easier to find, considering it's in plain invividual-file MP3 format in a folder clearly marked "music"... I wanted to listen to one track some day a while ago, and I just popped open the Planetside folder and it was right there staring me in the face.

The reason Orbital Platforms were taken out is because they added nothing to the game. All they did was create an unnecessary and quite possibly annoying delay between getting in the HART and dropping down to your chosen location. Therefore, they are deactivated until the devs can think of an actual use for them. Several have already been suggested on the official forums, but there is no sign of movement in this direction.

Also, the Orbital Platform music track is actually used in the game. It plays when you're inside the HART building. If you don't believe me, turn up the music to 100%, hang around outside in Sanc for a minute, then walk into the HART building and listen to it change (give it a bit of time to cross-fade the tracks). Note that standing very close to the building, even if you're not technically inside it, can cause the music to trigger.

I have NOT played this game since beta. I picked it up at release but was never able to play it effectively until about a month ago. I dropped it for 2 months in frustration that my computer could'nt run it. So i wouldn't know about those scratched orbital platforms.

Thanks for restating what was said in the first response and then insulting ME for not knowing it. Look, I have never flamed anyone in my life and I hardly ever even bother to respond to people who flame me, but this time I am for some reason. And, it was hard to tell, but if that WASNT meant as a flame...well, then... Look at the title, read the first 6 words, and make a guess as to which I am.
