I'm worried because I like stability. I know Dallas' pace, and I know Dallas was a advocate of defense. Plus, this new guy sounds kinda, quirky.

How long was Dallas even lead producer for this game? Doesn't seem for very long really. This is kinda sudden.

Honestly i think he'll be great. Any producer that is into the game and is an infiltrator is ok with me. I HOPE HES AN NC!!!!! Ill like him even more then. But no matter what hes going to be our producer so we might as well support him. :groovy: (even if he sucks)

Dallas was only there for a short time I mean it couldn't have been more than 4 months. Sucks to see him leave.

He said he's VS (though he's played all the empires, TR first, then NC, now VS). It's about time a non-art dev played VS ;) :D (I'm kidding, I know the devs play all the empires).

He did seem a little quirky...almost like he was trying to appeal to a younger audience (which the majority of PS subscribers, are not). Oh well, I'm willing to give the guy a shot, I mean it's not like one guy can make a huge impact in the game, it's more of a team effort than anything.

according to sporkfire dallas did not get fired.. he is still in SOE..

That's disconcerting. Both he and Dave Georgeson were Producers and then opted to no longer be a Producer for the game. I wonder why this is. (<- genuine interest)

I agree, it is a good thing he is an Infiltrator. At least he will have a chance at understanding the deeper concepts of the game

People rarely seem to leave SOE or get fired, they always just move around. I knew quite a few people from guiding on EQ and I don't know the name of any of thier positions now, they move around so much. One guy I believe is in charge of all tech troubleshooting for EQ, and another was in charge of all guides, and then he was in dev.

SOE loves shuffling its ranks around, it doesn't like players having a familiarity with current people.

I bet there shuffinling people around to deal with different issues. Hes a infiltrator guy and maybe has real ideas about it so this is how they deal with it. When it gets back around they go back to dallas or the best guy for the job. It makes sense if there trying not to let the new ideas get stuffy. :brow:
