I was just wondering what your favorite, and least favorite vehicles are,
and why. So just post whatever :rock:

The Basilisk, for a variety of reasons. It provides the only stable and fast transportation for ReXos, and it has a mild combat ability that sometimes turns into a devestating tool.

Fav is a tie between a Reaver and Mosquito... can't beat the mobility and firepower...

Least Fav is any ground vehicle on a very hilly continent... OMG is that annoying...

Ya, I would have to say that the Reaver is one of my fav's because it has more armor than a mosquito and more firepower. Also because i love to fly in this game.

My least fav would have to be LoadStar or something because they have no fire power, but if use correctly, they can be pretty afective.

You obviously haven't seen the recent characters sprouting up bearing the name "GalCrasher#" or "LodeCrasher#".

They absolutey rack up base kills, because the explosion and damage of the impacting aircraft take out everything, including MAXs. Huge kills, particularly at Vehicle terminals.

My favorite is a tie between the Vanguard and the Skyguard, because they live so long and give me so many kills when I gun them. And everyone hates them.

Least favorite is the Reaver. It's Planetside's version of the TIE Fighter: fast, appears in huge numbers, and is a flying death trap.

AMS- Gives me a sense of ownership and you can't have a really good battle without one

Harasser- Agile, Radar invisable, decent weaponry, and it has that "I'm driving a buggy around a war" feel to it. Great design too.*

Enforcer-My favorite empire buggy because it hybridizes good speed with absolutely devastating firepower against vehicles.*

Prowler- I see the need for two gunners as an advantage because it can be devastating if you're on teamspeak

Least Favorite Vehicle- Reaver, just because there's so freaking many of them.
Most Dissapointing Vehicle- The router; great design, but woefully underpowered in the range department. Also, the switchblade. It suffers the same problems TR MAXes do. decimator bait when locked down. Needs regenerating armor, a directional shield, or an armor boost when deployed.

* All buggies (wheeled, anyway) need a handbreak for powerslides and spinouts a la Unreal Tournament 2004

Oh, I should've mentioned the Enforcer, because while it's good for vehicles, it's godly against infantry because of its damage (direct AND splash) and clip size.

I know lots of NC drivers that set up Enforcers right outside of base entrances, just behind the Vanguards, and fire in. It is precision aim, with no arc, and really, really hurts.

I've shot a lot of decimator midgets who thought they could run out, fire one off, then hide from incoming shots. You can't outrun an Enforcer shot.

I don't believe this was intended, though, but it's a good touch of realism. :)

lodestar pure and simple, wat can be better than dropping a fully loaded sunderer into a base and watching the two gunners wreak small scale havoc while an entire squad plus 2 maxes piles out to follow up!
and incidentally u can land a lodestar inside an ams bubble and give the ams self repair ability :D

Well my favorite was always the Thresher. Driving that puppy around mountains was like competing in the X-Games. BUT, with a heavy heart I must say most of the fun in driving my baby died the day she lost the ability to mow :(

Lightning by far. Nothing can replace my baby. I love it when Mosquito's think they can take me too. I just switch to the machine gun and play a quick game of "Who has the most armor?"

I really like the Deliverer. I love going over the water and when those twin 20mm are firing simultaneous in 3rd person view it's always a rush.

I love the vanguard. Driving and gunning. I have to mention the enforcer though. It was the first vehicle that I loved driving in PlanetSide, and it is still one of my favorites. The mowing nerf really hurt it though.

My favorites are:
The Lightning, nice speed, decent firepower, decent armor, great for suppressing infantry, hunting AMSes and general harrassment.

The Harrasser, the sniper buggy, not really any good reason i like it it's just fun as hell to drive around in heavy combat.

The Deliverer, good speed, decent maneuverability, heavy firepower and amphibous ability. Hell, to me the transport is more of a nice bonus then anything else.

I Hate:
Reavers, complete, burning hatred.

The Sunderer, complete garbage.

my favorite vehicle out of the planes would be the liberator because its a good vehicle to kill ground units and if u dont have a crew to help u its a good vehicle to ram ground units :p and my favorite ground vehicle would have to be a sunderer because is a RV with cannons.

the only vehicle i hate is the most is the wraith because its useless because u got the basilisk and it has guns.

Thresher hands down is the most fun vehicle. Now that you can't mow with it though, it blows =/

I like the rasser, I got light scout for the lighting and the rasser was a bonus, but I think it is a truly usefull vehicle. Its the fastest ground-based passenger vehicle in the game (great for llu runs) its gun aint half bad and it can take me from point a to point b off road (always fun) in a rexo. another least favorite of mine is the magrider, as a lighting driver, its my worst nightmare, Vanguards are fairly easy to take on, they fire slow, have a slow moving turret, they move slow and the gun depression aint anything to brag about. I took 3 lightings (a mini-wolf pack) and we all got either on the side or in back of the vanguard and blasted away. The gunner sent me a hate tell and told me it wasnt fair that his gun couldnt shoot us lol.

You are sadly mistaken. The bassy can be a very potent weapon. Those chain guns are very accurate. Just park youra ass on the edge of a big battle and snipe people. They usualy don't view you as a big threat, but before they know it, they are dead. If something decides to kill you, you can often make it away on account of your insane speed. I got so many kills with it until I switched to light scout and started dishing out some more serious ownage in my lightning.

Best acceleration and top speed (for a ground cert), bolt-driver accuracy, and it can catch some huge air if you find the right ramp (the half-pipe shaped trees on Solsar are loads of fun)

To kill with: Reaver

To gun: Magrider on water

Least favorite: Harasser. There's nothing a harasser can do that an assult buggy can't do better.

To Drive: Basi/Wraith , I just think its funny to runover some defensless rexo in an invisible wraith. Not bad sniping people with a basi then running away, really pisses them off.

My Prowler. There are many prowlers like it, but I like mine best. My crew can pop a Vanguard in a slugfest, and the 12mm takes out aircraft and pesky infantry uncontested.

My prowler crew keeps running out of ammo, though...

To this day, my favorite vehicle is the Basilisk. For all the reasons Jaged said too. It can carry a grunt in ReXo, which is pretty convenient, provides fast transportation (which is mainly what I was looking for), and not a half bad gun. The only drawbacks are that its armor is shit, and the gun is a bit hard to aim. But if you're going straight at the target, you can get him.

They need to make the dual chainguns fire at the same time. What's the point of dual chainguns when they 'take turns' firing?

Least favorite? Harasser. Harassers are my Lancer's favorite food.

Only time I've ever been killed by any atv is is if they mowed me... and I must have been afk then. ATV is the most worthless cert there is, at least the harasser lets you carry another person and the deliverer/sunderer will let you carry many, even the ams has more value than the atv. atv needs to be 1 cert to ever be worth it.

The only reason you are never killed by ATV is because no one realizes its value. If you use it right, you can get a lot of kills. No one does this because they all think like you do. I too have never been killed by a bassy. But I have killed a lot of people in mine.

I also love the AMS and am constantly stunned at how few of them seem to end out in the field. I used to see so many AMS's around all the time, now it seems like I need to bring my own to ever single battle and I need to stay near it at all times to keep it alive. The times when I die trying to protect my AMS and am forced to spawn a base away, while we have massive forces in the SOI, those times are very disheartening.

No, you actually are making a dent. I use Vanguard like a MAX suit. I drive it, pull up to a good spot then jump in the gunner seat. I then proceed to molest whatever battlefield I am on.

The result tends to be a gaping wound in the enemy defense perimeter with shockingly little effort on my part.

As a NC operative, I would be most disturbed if people called for a nerf to the Vanguard's stupidly high armor. Just shocked. Really, I would be heart-broken.

Or not. Fix the god-damned Vanguard. It's retarded.

Vanguard, to drive and gun if I am on TS with the driver/gunner.

I hate seeing tanks being used as artillery, its a tank, use it like one. Don't sit on a hill spamming shells, drive across the field through ce, over infantry, through lightnings (free kills), atv's (one-hit, 2 kills, guaranteed), infantry (hey look I can mow you at 15 kph, eat that lasher-rexo-pshieldwhore), magriders (hey no water, free kill), prowlers (hey its like 3 lightnings built into one!).

All I fear is deliverers (on water or off, they tend to own vans), more than one magrider with under 1/2 hp, or on water, 2 prowlers within the range where I can't dodge the 100mm's, and finally... 5 infantry hitting me with jammers before pulling out strikers, all standing on a rock/tower so I can't mow them.

They buffed mines to do 2x damage, but they only work 1/2 the time, I can roll over a 5-6 mine minefield and take no damage, or I can hit 2-3 mines and take 1/3 hp damage.

Vanguard teams can easilly take on 4-5x their number, especially if they don't have vehicles. (air vech's dont really matter, even reavers die fast to the 20mm's and they run fast when they get hit with that 150mm)

Oh yeah, Libs rock. Its like a tank in the air, built for whore-killing infantry + tanks just like with a reaver, however with about 3x the armor so you can kill skyguards 1v1. Can't dogfight as well, but never bothered me, I always sucked at dogfights anyway. Plus lib can transport 2 friendlies, hold about 1000 35mm rounds if you get rid of the bombs and you can give rides to friendlies in gal/lodes as well.

Hmm, so I'm not the only one. The worst part is I'm shocked each and every time that I come up against a Deliverer at how quickly they chew through the armor with both guns manned.

I love blowing Reavers out of the air with the big gun. 95% of the pilots in this game follow such easy patterns, and they seem incapable of changing their patterns even with large shells flying towards them. Use the machine gun at range, a good driver will avoid the majority of the rocket spam. Then the pilot inches closer to give his rockets a better chance and *boom*.

My Favorite Vehicles:
Lightning: very good at AA, AI and AV. Good speed and maneuverabilty, very flexible.
Deliverer: devestatingly effective when used correctly. can absorb a great deal of damage and can dish out a deadly amount of accurate fire.

Least Favorite Vehicle:
Sunderer: Terrific guns for AV or even AI, but absolutely horrid at AA. The driving capabilities of this bohemouth are pathetic and it provides such a large profile anyone can hit it. Also the lack of gun depression gives it a very large bland spot close up.
