I' a vs and when it comes to looting weapons I think we have it the best cause we have ammo for nearly every weapon (not including av) at our disposal. MCGs use standard bullets and JHs use shot gun shells, we can buy as many of those as we need without having to find a consiritor to help us.

Yeah except with that little thing called deconstruct which seems to happen just as you walk up to a pack.
Something you could do though is go hack a vs home cont and wait for them to come (with you as a cloaker of course) kill a few grab their ammo and skidizle my nizzle.

If that's not your bag of tea, see if you can get a hold of a disorganized VS zerg at one of your bases. When they come in piecemeal, loot off the ammo and run to the locker and throw it in.

For a while (before my characters were high BR and I needed the favorite slot) I actually had a "Looter" configuration which was the MA rifle and 2 reloads in Rexo. :) Gave me 2 pistol slots, 1 rifle and 10 ammo boxes that I could loot off of backpacks. Granted, I got no XP because I wasn't fighting so much, but damned if my high BR characters don't have full lockers of my favorite enemy weapons with ammo. :)
